April 5

[edit]

I entered a brief submission under the title "Images & Voices of Hope," a global think tank for media professionals, because I noticed the void in Wikipedia and wanted to help. The first submission was declined because, the reviewer said, it lacked sufficient references. I added more references--now totaling eight for a brief submission of 220 words but can't tell from the way the page is laid out ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia_talk:Articles_for_creation/Images_%26_Voices_of_Hope#Images_.26_Voices_of_Hope) if it has been declined again or is still pending. In any event, as a retired Chicago Sun-Times reporter and columnist who has taught reporting standards at Northwestern University, I can't believe it is being declined again. Available sources are sparse but the submission is sourced quite well to verify that the organization exists and what it does. I hope I am wrong and this is still pending. Could you let me know what is the case? Thanks very much. nortythebartender Nortythebartender (talk) 01:18, 5 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Your submission is currently still pending review. The yellow box is the current one, the red box is the previous decline. A412 (TalkC) 01:25, 5 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Dear Sirs, The submitted article, "Dr. George Lisle - The Pioneer" has been submitted NOT to be a stand-alone individual article, but to be submitted as "part of" your existing Wikipedia article on the City of Chetopa, Kansas. My mother has done extensive research into his history and this information is well known in the town, where they just had a 100 years commemoration of Dr. Lisle and the starting of the town. Please reconsider this article as being credible for this addition. Thank you.

If you would like to then, you can directly edit Chetopa, Kansas and add the material there. Is that what you are looking for? Nolelover Talk·Contribs 18:35, 5 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

How can I review articles to help? Partingoceans (talk) 15:04, 5 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

The server is down at the moment, so use this link and pick an article. Category:Pending_AfC_submissions Kinkreet~♥moshi moshi♥~ 16:16, 5 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I am trying to help Coralhead by shortening and adding references to the Bioscience Resource Project article. Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Coralhead

However, I am new to this and odd things have been happening.

The history section was removed totally and some history text was mixed in with the Phil and Mission section and things deleted that I did not wish to delete.

My intention was only to shorten both sections and add one ref to each section.

Can you help me either get back to the original or get back to the point when the Phil and Mission had been edited but the History had not been?

Thanks for any help and I would welcome advice on how to prevent such an accident occurring again.

I have rolled backed your edits so effectively you did not make any changes (back to the original as you want). All the edits you made is still under history (I should be there), and so you can just copy and paste again. Kinkreet~♥moshi moshi♥~ 18:01, 5 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Is that what you want? Or have I got the wrong idea? :/ Kinkreet~♥moshi moshi♥~ 18:03, 5 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
(I can't remember why I have this draft on my watchlist) The strange result from your three edits was because two of the references were ended with <ref> instead of </ref>. This confused the software and made some of your text disappear. -- John of Reading (talk) 21:03, 5 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

How long to wait?

[edit]

If you are 308 in the waiting list how long do you have to wait????????? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 88.81.131.60 (talk) 19:54, 5 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Probably several days. Wikipedia does not have a deadline. Pol430 talk to me 22:15, 5 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Because I'm nice, I have looked at your submission just now. Unfortunately, It cannot be accepted for the reasons I have mentioned in the decline template. Pol430 talk to me 22:24, 5 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Gerti eshte tani ne klas te 9. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 79.106.109.71 (talk) 20:43, 5 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

According to Google translate, this (in Albanian) translates to

Gerti is now in Class 9.

where the article consists of

Gerti was born Itreg 136 dated 11.02.97

Made in primary school Kanani Lame.

Given the above, I'm guessing that you're Gerti; but either way, this doesn't appear to be sufficient for a Wikipedia article. DoriTalkContribs 21:33, 5 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
