Hello guys, I would like some help in regards of this comment:

"I'm inclined to agree with the previous reviewer that this article is somewhat too soon: the product has not yet been launched, and it is no part of Wikipedia's brief to assist with advance publicity, but rather to report on subjects already known to be notable, which despite the citations provided, this game is not. Chiswick Chap (talk) 19:25, 24 February 2012 (UTC)"

to the draft article: Wikipedia_talk:Articles_for_creation/Furmins

I would like to point out that the game is out since Feb 2 (last wikipedia review is from Feb 24), so the comment doesn't make much sense. We modified the article taking out all references to price, leaving there just the info about plot, gameplay and reception. Housemarque is a well established software house in the console space, and Furmins is our first attempt with iOS, so definitely worth mentioning. Also, we have a wikipedia page for all our major titles. I would like to understand what is the issue with this one, because so far we have been reviewed a bit weirdly.

Thank you for your help,

Hello! I just wanted to see if someone could please tell me exaclty how I can improve my article so it can be submitted? I know that the sources/references are the main issue. If there is more specific things you can share, please do. All suggestions are greatly appreciated! Thank you, Lauren Curtis — Preceding unsigned comment added by Laurenjcurtis (talkcontribs) 17:26, 8 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

As you say, the sources are definitely less than ideal. I would also point out the overall tone of the submission. It is very promotional in nature. For example, "his talent and drive was quickly recognized allowing him to pursue his musical endeavors at a rapid pace" and "Chase has steadily built a buzz in the Philadelphia area and is getting ready to explode nationally after stints opening for artists"...who says? Without sources, that's very advertisement-ish. I encourage you to remove anything that you really can't source (shoot for a few more good ones too) and resubmit. I thought the article has inline references but the comments state that I don't. Can you clarify what an inline reference would be?

Thanks.

  • Inline references are citing the information between <ref> (url/source) </ref>. Currently you have external links which are [(url)] which tripped the bot to automatically point out the lack of inline citations. Though it does require more specifics and citations to sources independent of itself. ChrisGualtieri (talk) 19:10, 8 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I have been informed that the Wiki page that I created cannot be created due to citing issues. I need to know where exactly these citing issues are so that i can publish the page.

Thank you!

I'm really not sure, since you already had used footnotes and Wikipedia's referencing system. I'll go ahead and look the article over now, and either accept is or give you a better reason why it is being declined. Nolelover Talk·Contribs 22:12, 8 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Please could you advise me as to how I could improve my submission, it has been turned down on the grounds of not providing sufficient context for readers unfamiliar with the subject.

Many thanks EmB32 (talk) 23:35, 8 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

It could use more content, but it is well annotated.  I don't have a problem with approving it. Thank you.  :- ) DCS 01:07, 9 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
