Discussion
[edit]Name appears open to confusion - the scope appears to be all secular holidays - but the proposed name would appear to also include religious holidays as well - maybe call the project "Secular Holidays" instead? NullofWest Fill the Void 20:16, 20 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- That would be hard to do, as several holidays which have a religious origin become secularized. Halloween is one such. Also, doesn't this project more or less already exist at Wikipedia:WikiProject Holidays? John Carter (talk) 18:13, 24 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- Rereading the proposal, it's essential for a subproject on National Days such as Independance Days of various countries and could well be set up as a child project but seems more suited as a taskforce of the exsisting Holidays project called "National Days", "Independance Days" or similiar.
