William Cooley[edit]
This is a new biography of the leader of the New River Settlement (in the area which later became Fort Lauderdale). He was a key player in the area's history prior to the Second Seminole War. He was also an active politician in Tampa prior to the Civil War. The editor who created the article put a lot of work into it (it's well above stub class, and might be as high as B class, but I'm a little biased, since I suggested the topic to him and participated in some copy-editing.
