Rationale: why prioritise certain medical articles?

[edit]

Medical articles that contain material on screening are a priority to keep as accurate and as up-to-date as possible. The reason being that people will look up this sort of information before they decide to see a doctor, and hence no doctor has had a chance to talk to and inform them about treatment.

Over-the-counter medications pose a similar problem in that these can be bought at a chemist/drugstore and used with no involvement of health staff.

A person inquiring about prescription-only medications or surgical procedures must (by default) see a medical practitioner, hence that doctor will discuss that with the patient.

Well then, it really shouldn't be a B class article. Barbara (WVS)

Started some cleanup but more is needed. There are a lot of old references (some from the 1980s yikes!). TylerDurden8823 (talk) 13:58, 3 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
