Hello! Can you make a map for Tennessee State Route 19? There is no hurry, the article has been flagged by the map police as not having one but being in need of one. ;-) Thank you very much!

Hey again map wizards of Oz! I don't know if my humble additional request can be realized in a map easily, but to ask the question is allowed, isn't it? Just south of SR 19 there is a strech of Old HWY 19 going southeast from Nutbush, Tennessee about two thirds of the way (5 miles) towards Brownsville, Tennessee, parallel to SR 19. Is it easily possible to include the old segment of the highway into the map in a different color and/or mark it as Old SR 19? If this is a common feature I do not care what color is used, I can mention it in the text or caption of the map to clarify the route. That would be very cool to have the contemporary route as well as the old route on the same map. One of the points of interest in the article about SR 19 (Trinity United Methodist Church, Nutbush) is closer to the old route than the modern SR 19, it would make it very easy for the article to refer to the place.
Great work guys! Thanks a lot and take care, doxTxob \ talk 05:35, 5 November 2007 (UTC)
  • The data I had didn't quite nail down the Old 19 route, but here's a map of regular 19 for now Image:TN 19 map.png Stratosphere (U T) 03:53, 31 December 2007 (UTC)
    • Hey Strat. Just FYI, TN 19 actually extends further west to the Mississippi River. I've been trying to download the county TIGER maps, but it's been a slow go. 25or6to4 (talk) 12:37, 31 December 2007 (UTC)
    • Finally got TIGER maps for those two counties, so put together an attempt. image:TN SR 19 map test.svg 25or6to4 (talk) 16:21, 31 December 2007 (UTC)
      • Looks good to me. Nice job :) Stratosphere (U T) 22:16, 31 December 2007 (UTC)
        • Yes, very nice. I like that the old SR 19 is also included. Thanks a lot! doxTxob \ talk 22:34, 31 December 2007 (UTC)
        • Should I reupload it with a more standardized name? 25or6to4 (talk) 12:50, 1 January 2008 (UTC)
          • You can overwrite mine if there isn't an established standard image name Stratosphere (U T) 11:54, 2 January 2008 (UTC)
          • Complete. Renamed the file to image:TN_19_map.svg. No need to overwrite yours, as mine is an svg. I'll request my test file be removed. 25or6to4 (talk) 22:45, 4 January 2008 (UTC)

Sorry, I did not list it at the end of the page but here, at the end of the Tennessee map requests, so it is sorted better.

It would be great to have a map for Tennessee State Route 180. It is not a long or important road, as a matter of fact it is a secondary highway, and the request is not urgent. It would be nice to have a shield for 180 on the map, the county line (Haywood and Lauderdale) and the towns Nutbush and Gates. Whatever works best and is reasonable in your opinion. Thank you very much! doxTxob \ talk 01:19, 23 November 2007 (UTC)

  • Here be map. Image:TN 180 map.png Please check for accuracy, if it's spiffy, plop it in the article. Cheers. Stratosphere (U T) 02:46, 26 January 2008 (UTC)

Perfect, Thank you! doxTxob \ talk 06:24, 26 January 2008 (UTC)

I'm requesting a map for Jamison Road (CR 574) - its pretty simple because its mostly straight. Here is a Google routing of the road. Thanks!Mitch32contribs 21:56, 19 January 2008 (UTC)

Thanks so much! Only thing I request are shields on the map.Mitch32contribs 10:54, 26 January 2008 (UTC)

I need maps for the following articles:

I need a new map for this future Good article nominee. Thank you. —JA10 TalkContribs 22:46, 9 November 2007 (UTC)

All this needs is a facelift, with the addition of location text and the thinning of highway lines. I can do this sometime this week. 哦, 是吗?(User:O) 04:03, 26 November 2007 (GMT)

SR-509 in Washington State

My name is Johnny Russell and I am working on the article for Washington State Route 509 in the south of Seattle. If possible, I would like a map showing the proposed expansion of SR-509. The URL of the page is http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Washington_State_Route_509 and a Washington State Department of Transportation map of the proposed construction can be found here. Thank you a lot if anyone chooses to make this map. -johnnyrussell

  • Here's map. I wasn't sure where the 5/509 connector was supposed to be, around exit 149 on I-5? Image:Washington 509 map.png Stratosphere (U T) 11:27, 26 January 2008 (UTC)

I'm working on bringing this article up to at least B-Class as well. Its a short secondary route so this should be a low-priority request....Thanks everybody Pepper6181 (talk) 05:43, 15 December 2007 (UTC)

  • Image:TN 211 map.png I added some thin black secondary roads to the map, which I usually don't do, but it was so the road didn't appear to end in the middle of nothing. Let me know if it's alright. Cheers. Stratosphere (U T) 02:59, 26 January 2008 (UTC)

Discussion board mentions need for a map on this page. I have done the majority of the work on the article, so I'd like to request a map for it. Thank you! Perimeter285 (talk) 20:31, 3 January 2008 (UTC)

Another TN article has been created and needs a map, most of this route is overlapped with US 412. Thanks Pepper6181 (talk) 06:55, 7 January 2008 (UTC)

The map that's up there now is "good enough" (prompted by a FAC request) but the line widths are different because it's about as hacked together as one can get. If someone can put up a cleaner version, that'd be appreciated. Thanks. —Rob (talk) 23:04, 18 December 2007 (UTC)

  • Accepted, but I have a request. Do you have a GIS source for the new southern section? I have everything else set up and ready to go. 25or6to4 (talk) 11:55, 24 December 2007 (UTC)
  • I don't think I will until next year's GIS data comes out. (It doesn't show on Google Maps, Mapquest or any other online mapping services yet, either.) Would a picture of the Rand McNally 2008 map of the Chicago area be sufficient? —Rob (talk) 15:51, 24 December 2007 (UTC)
I have a completed version of this map, but it does not have the new southern extension on it. I can post it if wanted, but I release this request otherwise until I can get some more data for the extension. As much as a map would help, I still don't think I could be accurate enough. 25or6to4 (talk) 23:11, 26 January 2008 (UTC)

Please place a map for LaVista Road, a major highway that runs through Atlanta, Georgia. Also, place shields for I-285 and the other state and U.S. highways that intersect with this road. Thanks. --Martin4647

  • GA 236 has a map of this area, is another map really needed to highlight a subset of the same road? Stratosphere (U T) 21:32, 26 January 2008 (UTC)
    • Input on this or can I archive it? Stratosphere (U T) 20:51, 1 February 2008 (UTC)
      • My opinion is that you can archive it; the road article should really be merged into the route article anyway since all of LaVista Road is SR 236. --TMF Let's Go Mets - Stats 20:54, 1 February 2008 (UTC)

It could use a map badly, its an old article of mine, and its the missing link I need.Mitch32contribs 20:54, 1 February 2008 (UTC) Mitch32contribs 20:54, 1 February 2008 (UTC)

Article under WP:Illinois Routes, 2.2 miles in Chicago. It's the only road where you can get an address on 100 north, 100 south, 100 west AND 100 east! —Rob (talk) 15:08, 3 November 2007 (UTC)

  • All the GIS data I had was especially poor for downtown Chicago. This was the best map I could come up with, I'm not particularly fond of it, but it might do until better data can be used. Image:Wacker Drive map.png Stratosphere (U T) 10:21, 26 January 2008 (UTC)
    • Just an update, I'm digitizing a map of the downtown area, hopefully it'll work out better than the one I provided above. Stratosphere (U T) 20:52, 1 February 2008 (UTC)
    • I uploaded a new version over the old one. I think it's far superior :) Just let me know if it needs fixin' otherwise in 3 days I'll close this request Stratosphere (U T) 02:05, 2 February 2008 (UTC)

South Parkway (Beaver Island Parkway)

Could you please provide a map for South Parkway located on Grand Island, New York. People have reviewed the article and say that it needs a map and to come here to have one done.

The page to place it on is: South Parkway/Beaver Island Parkway

Thanks,Ngs61 (talk) 19:20, 16 January 2008 (UTC)

  • Not sure if this was still needed since the article was merged, but here it is Image:Beaver Island Parkway map.png Stratosphere (U T) 10:36, 26 January 2008 (UTC)
    • The waterway surrounding Grand Island is the Niagara River. --TMF Let's Go Mets - Stats 21:41, 31 January 2008 (UTC)
      • Whoops. Yeah I'll fix that if anyone can link me to a Canada/Ontario boundary dataset that's better than 1:1,000,000 scale. Stratosphere (U T) 22:20, 31 January 2008 (UTC)
  • Very nice map, you did a good job. Could you put the name Beaver Island State Park and possibly shade the park in green on Grand Island so people will know where the park is located? I'll add it to the Beaver Island State Park after your done. Thanks a lot! Ngs61 (talk) 18:06, 1 February 2008 (UTC)
    • Fixed and done. Stratosphere (U T) 20:49, 1 February 2008 (UTC)

The Aurora Expressway is a major highway linking Buffalo with its suburbs of West Seneca, Elma, East Aurora, and other southeast regions. There is currently no map on the NY 400 page. Would it be possible for you to make up a map of NY 400? If you could make a map, can you include on the map the signs of the routes NY 400 passes over or interchanges with? (I-90, NY 240, NY 277, US 20/NY 78, US 20A/NY 78, and NY 16, Especially NY 16 that NY 400 overlaps and paralells). Additionally, include the town names.

-Thanks,Ngs61 (talk) 19:33, 5 February 2008 (UTC)

-Very nice map, could you please add NY 16 to its route on the map because it parallels NY 400? Also place the NY 400 shield on the Aurora Expwy? If you could do that it would be great! Thanks,Ngs61 (talk) 20:23, 7 February 2008 (UTC)

NY 324 is a major thoughofare in the towns of Grand Island, Tonawanda, Amherst, and Clarence. Could you please make a map of NY 324's route? If you can include the names of the road: (Grand Island Blvd. on Grand Island & Tonawanda, and Sheridan Dr. in Tonawanda, Amherst, & Clarence). Please include all important cross streets and route shields, town names, as well as the name(s) of the road where it changes. (Remember that Sheridan Dr. continues south of NY 324 as NY 325, and Grand Island Blvd. takes over as NY 324 heads west)

-Thanks,Ngs61 (talk) 19:55, 5 February 2008 (UTC)

-Nice map, just one thing, could you add the I-290 shield on the Youngmann Memorial Highway and place the NY 324 shield on Sheridan? Thanks again!Ngs61 (talk) 20:27, 7 February 2008 (UTC)

  • Would it be possible to create a map for the routing of NY 78?

If you could create a map like the one on the NY 104 page, that would be great! Thank you,Ngs61 (talk) 23:04, 8 February 2008 (UTC)

There is an error in the current map, Image:Texas 273 map.svg. It shows US 283, which should actually be US 287. --Holderca1 talk 15:19, 12 February 2008 (UTC)

I like both the simplicity and theory of this image, but I don't like the fact it looks like someone scanned it in from an old textbook. We can make a SVG replacement for this image, with shields and to MTF standards, but also keep the generality of it (including "City (A), City (B), City (C)".) —Rob (talk) 17:10, 13 February 2008 (UTC)

    • Also, if the urban area shading could be applied to the Burlington metro area like on Image:PA-65 map.svg, that'd be great. Dunno how much that and the item above will add to the file size, but I think the end result will be worth it. --TMF Let's Go Mets - Stats 23:33, 21 February 2008 (UTC)

  • Update? Stratosphere (U T) 00:34, 19 February 2008 (UTC)
    • After speaking with JA10, I think the "newness" of this particular interchange (2007) means that a PD aerial or satellite image with which to build an overhead or updated GIS data detailing the interchange is a few years away. Great! Standard size is fine, could also put the names of the bordering states as well. Something similar to what is on page 28 of this document [1] would be just about perfect.
