Student activism at University of Virginia is a Wikipedia editing project in a March 2020 class at the University of Virginia. Lane Rasberry (user:bluerasberry) will present "Wikipedia as Media", a lecture and workshop in this series. This is a private event for students in the class and invited guests.

Preparation

[edit]
  1. Create a Wikimedia account if you do not have one.
  2. register on wiki so that your instructor can find your account name and the article you edited
  3. Bring your device to the event. Wiki's editing interface is best on non-mobile display.
  4. There is no need to learn Wikipedia editing in advance. However, anyone who likes can take the online basic Wikipedia training.
