- Bromley Episcopal Mission School for Girls is a girls school in Liberia. Once a leading school, it was forced to close in 1997 as a result of the First Liberian Civil War.
- St. Teresa's Convent School is a Catholic Institution that provides elementary, middle and high school education for girls in Monrovia, Liberia

Rwanda[edit]
- The FAWE Girls' School is a school for girls in Gisozi, Kigali, Rwanda. It was founded in 1999 by the Forum for African Women Educationalists (FAWE).[5] The school produced the top two girls in Rwanda's 2002 O Level results, and in 2003 achieved six out of the top ten.[6]
Senegal[edit]
- The École des jeunes filles de Rufisque / Rufisque Girls' Normal School / École normal de Rufisque was a school for girls in Rufisque, Senegal established in 1939. A sister school to the École normale William Ponty, it was an "elite institution that drew students from all over French West Africa".[7]
Sierra Leone[edit]
- Mathora Secondary School for Girls is a secondary school in Sierra Leone. It was founded in 1959, the first girls secondary school in the North.
Somalia[edit]
- The Girls Central Boarding School, Burao was the first secular school for girls in British Somaliland. It was established in 1952.[8]
Sudan[edit]
- Rufaa Elementary School was the first elementary school for girls in the Sudan. It was established by Babiker Badri in 1907.

- SEGA Girls School / Secondary Education for Girls' Advancement Girls School is a residential secondary school in Morogoro, Tanzania. It was established in 2007.

- Marian Girls Secondary School is a secondary school in Bagamoyo Town, Tanzania.
- Bethel SABS Girls Secondary School is a secondary school for girls in Iringa, Tanzania.
- Feza Girls Secondary School is a secondary school for girls in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.
- Tabora Girls Secondary School is a government secondary school for girls in Tabora, Tanzania .

- Collège Notre-Dame des Apôtres is a Roman Catholic secondary school for girls in Lomé.
Tunisia[edit]
- École des jeaune filles musulmanes de Tunis / Muslim Girls' School of Tunis is a girls school in Tunis, "the most prestigious early school in Tunusia built uniquely for Muslim girls as part of the French colonial educational system". The school started as the École Louise-Renée Millet Tunis in 1900, but was renamed and moved to Pacha Street in 1911. It is sometimes called the Pacha Street School.[9]
