Writing Studio 112 focuses on the process of writing the academic research essay. It provides students with the essential research, composition, analytical skills needed to explore questions of significant ethical, aesthetic, historical, cultural, and social relevance. Students may use a specific theoretical method and a variety primary, secondary, and tertiary sources to conduct their research. The subject of research in this course is the relationship between historical memory, remembering, and reconciliation/reparations. Writing Studio 112 fulfills the first-year writing seminar for the Boston University HUB. Aspects of the syllabus are subject to change at the discretion of the instructor.
