The history of media in Chicago is largely unwritten. Yet, the city has been home to generations of aesthetically and socially radical moving image artists whose work has played a profound role in the development of artistic and commercial moving image. Students in this class will help uncover
Chicago's media history. In this assignment, students will edit entries created by previous iterations of this course, contributing to a better understanding of the city's major artists, makers, and media making entities.

Week 5

- Assignment - Peer review your assigned article
For this assignment, you should provide a in-depth edit and copy-edit. Make your copy-edits directly in the article itself. Leave your editorial suggestions in the talk pages of the article you are reviewing.
When reviewing your article, ask yourself:
- Does the article have enough sources and citations (Wikipedia suggests an average of one citation per sentence)?
- Does the article have any glaring content gaps? Does it seem complete or does it need more information?
- Is the article well organized?
- Is the lead section a concise overview of the article's subject? (For example, from Wikipedia "The lead should stand on its own as a concise overview of the article's topic. It should identify the topic, establish context, explain why the topic is notable, and summarize the most important points. The notability of the article's subject is usually established in the first few sentences.")
You will be graded on you engagement with your assigned article and thoroughness of your edit.

Every student has finished reviewing their assigned articles, making sure that every article has been reviewed.
