This course takes a sociolinguistic approach to examining inequity in professional, technical, and public writing. I envision using Wikipedia to give them an opportunity to identify and remedy silenced voices. This includes, but is not limited to, racial and gender discrimination, disability, and the environment. I envision a lot of the work to be including voices of marginalized scholars into entries that are missing those perspectives.
