Problems[edit]

The current version is about 50% wider than my low-res screen, requiring side-to-side scrolling to read much of anything. Anaxial (talk) 22:08, 8 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Bold Proposal[edit]

I kinda liked this proposal, very bold. IMO this proposal is the most radical of all.⇨ EconomistBR ⇦ Talk 00:03, 9 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Too much header[edit]

There's too much header - none of the "Did You Know" section appears on the first screen of text on my laptop. Phil Sandifer (talk) 04:51, 11 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Good redesign[edit]

I really like your entry. The blue background has a calming feeling and the the information is arranged in a manner that will attract interest. If this was proposed in an earlier redesign proposal it would have stood a very good chance. I think this one can easily become a main page alternative. ChyranandChloe (talk) 02:02, 13 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Do you think you can make the dark blue section a little wider? miranda 22:35, 15 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks ChyranandChloe, sorry Miranda, but some users find that the header is too wide, and some say that it is not wide enough. Onecanadasquarebishopsgate 20:43, 17 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
In the banner across the top of the page, the size is defined as 820px. This can pose a problem for user with smaller screen sizes (800x600) as they will need to scroll both horizontally and vertically. I recommend that you either remove this parameter, replace it with one defined as a percentage, or replace it with a smaller value. For the portals I usually see the images set on the left side of the text not the right. ChyranandChloe (talk) 01:54, 18 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I have changed the sizes to percentages and the position of the images, is it better? Onecanadasquarebishopsgate 13:40, 18 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Nice job, it's much better. ChyranandChloe (talk) 18:46, 19 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you. Onecanadasquarebishopsgate 22:12, 21 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
