A few lessons I learned from WP:Editing Fridays:

  • Pitch topics first, then decide on a date. That gives people time to filter in and out without setting a deadline on when things need to be decided.
  • Advertise, advertise, advertise. Post on interested people's talk pages with a reminder, post about it on your mailing list, tell interested people you know on irc, ect. (There is only one inbound link from another wikipedia page.)
  • Leave behind a reminder on talk pages that you edited. Thats the way wikiprojects find their members
