A large part of this page seems to be based on that one defintion of the word "trivia". That may be the definition given in dictionaries but the word has come to mean something different in people's lexicon. And the meaning of the word "trivia" when used as a section title in a Wikipedia article is usually very different, more akin to "interesting facts that are better presented in a list then in prose" (of course that would make a very bad section title).

As for the "random list of facts": each list of trivia pertains to the subject of one article, thats hardly random (now clicking on Random article, thats more like random information). Qutezuce 23:07, 7 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
