Categorization Noticeboard[edit]

Is there a reason why this noticeboard is so infrequently used? It seems like the place for Editors with questions about Categories to come and discuss them. Liz Read! Talk! 12:00, 3 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

closure redux[edit]

So, I dug up the discussion mentioned above, and although it was brief there was a consensus to close this. It was marked as historical, then someone removed the tag, and it took three more months before there was another post of any kind. If you open he page history you can see that there have been only 46 edits since the closure was undone. The last 100 edits go back seventeen months.

If we count actual discussions, that is, threads that received at least one reply, there have been only six discussions here this year. And the year is nearly over. I don't think a half-dozen discussions per year is enough to rationalize an entire noticeboard and suggest this be formally closed and users redirected to the village pump which is way more active and therefore a more likely place to get useful feedback and establish a consensus on any contentious issues. I'll mark it as historical, if nobody minds.KonveyorBelt 19:32, 13 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]
