Overly zealous Wikipedia editors

[edit]

What I find is that there are Wikipedia editors, often of long-standing, who complain about sourcing as though they have special knowledge of a subject, but then do nothing about it. If they know better maybe they should add the proper sourcing. Instead they go about attempting to berate people who actually write stuff and slapping banners on articles which then sit there for years. There are way too many of these templates plastered needlessly over articles. Often something is so universally known as a fact that a 'source' for it is just meaningless and idiotic.

Also let us not pretend that these people don't demonstrate 'source bias'. Daisne (talk) 22:36, 17 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
