It does more harm than good[edit]

I think that the cleanup taskforce does more harm than good, mindlessly deleting contributions of other people. Bots can do that. There is no need for humans unless they also try to help people. I am thinking mainly of images, which are tricky to add in the correct way. The benefit of having a human in the loop would be to help people, when the image is obviously just not licensed correctly, but otherwise seems all right. That is unfortunately not how it works now. Just look at the talk page of Shell Kinneyand you can see what I mean. Get rid of the task force, and don't be evil!

(But do keep the rest of the good work going!) (Galnatuppen 12:17, 1 September 2007 (UTC))[reply]

I'm trying to restart the taskforce. If people disagree and feel we should let it die, say so. I can have my mind changed by arguments, but you have to post them for them to have affect. RJFJR 23:16, 19 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Is the the problem the lack of project participants, or the lack of people that use our services? nadav (talk) 04:33, 23 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Both - I say let the people decide, the call has been put out. --Benhello! 12:13, 30 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
