Grading

Students must log in to Wikipedia for all postings related to this course. Otherwise, it will not be possible to determine individual student contributions and zero grades will be assigned.

Wikipedia contributions will be graded as follows:


  • 5%: Completing introductory activities
  • 10%: Demonstration of understanding of criteria for a good article in review of assigned article or article section and collaboration in deciding on priorities for editing
  • 5%: Locating and describing 3 relevant, credible, secondary sources for your group to use in editing
  • 30%: Quality of summaries of three unique relevant, credible, secondary sources. Quality of contribution to group discussion of sources and summaries
  • 20%: Quality of edits and revisions to assigned Wikipedia article or section of article. Quality of contribution to group discussion of editing and revisions
  • 10%: Quality of peer review and collaboration with classmates
  • 10%: Contribution to group response to feedback and refining article
  • 10%: Reflection on Wikipedia contribution and learning from assignment
