Online ambassador

[edit]

Hi. I am Lixxx235 and I will be an online ambassador for this course. Students: welcome to Wikipedia! If, at any point, you have any questions, feel free to raise them at my talk page. Good luck, and happy editing! Cheers, Thanks, L235-Talk Ping when replying 03:57, 16 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Signatures

[edit]

Hi everyone. I recently noticed how many of you have been signing your names like this: ~~~~namegoeshere; for example, like ~~~~Lixxx235. That's not necessary- in the future, just sign like ~~~~. Cheers, Thanks, L235-Talk Ping when replying 00:36, 11 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hi! @Lixxx235: I'm trying to ping you using the template. So, anyway...thanks for the feedback. This semester, I want to work more to create a common place for us to go to give/receive general feedback like what you've written. I will direct everyone to the talk page in class tomorrow. Take care, L235!

Check your talk page

[edit]

Hi everyone! I have looked at everyone's first assignment, and have provided feedback on many of your talk pages. There might be minor fixes to do or feedback. Good work for the first try! Prof.Vandegrift (talk) 02:43, 11 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Easy real-time contact

[edit]

OK. If any of you(instructor, student, etc) want to talk to me(or a few other people) in real time, visit me on IRC at ##L235 connect and type "!ping" into the bottom white bar and press enter. If you just want general help with Wikipedia editing, #wikipedia-en-help connect and #wikipedia-en-ambassadors connect are good places to start as well. Also, try using the {{help me}} template if you just need help in general, not in real time. Cheers, Thanks, L235-Talk Ping when replying 04:06, 11 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Biomedical and psych editing

[edit]

I see this course is planning to edit biomedical and psych topics, but I didn't see mention of the relevant guidelines on the course page. Please review:

Sourcing for medical content (including post traumatic stress disorder, for example) is typically to recent secondary reviews, avoiding primary sources. SandyGeorgia (Talk) 15:58, 10 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]
