The History of Fashionable Dress, Renaissance to the Present.

This course surveys the history of fashionable dress in Europe and America from the Renaissance to the present, examining men's and women's clothing in the context of artistic, historical, and cultural change in the modern period. This course will be divided into three units: Chronology; Object/Theory; and Interpretation.
