This class is focused on the study of poetry, and is from Kansas State University. For the course listing, see it in the course catelog. This semester is taught by Mark Crosby.

Wikipedia is the encyclopedia anyone can edit and its centrality to the internet shapes how we contribute and access information. It is an important part of the public's perspective on Poetry, with nearly 10,000 articles about various poets, poems, poetry books and poetry concepts. Your job for this assignment will be to work in pairs to create a well-researched and well-written article about a selected poetic work of William Blake.

This assignment focuses on three learning goals:

  • Applying the poetry analysis and communication skills you’ve gleaned in Engl. 340 to a public-oriented community of practice (Wikipedia)
  • Learn about the scholarly materials available about poetry
  • Summarize that scholarship in an organized manner accessible to public readers
