You know, this page looks very Uncyclopedia-like. --Clorox 22:23, 5 November 2005 (UTC)

Impossible?[edit]

Is it really possible to reach 110 billion articles? Well, maybe in the future, astronomers will have a name for every star in our galaxy and Wikipedia includes ALL the name of stars in our galaxy; thus creating approximately 100 billion articles. Each article dedicated to each star!

On top of that, astronomers will have a name for every galaxy in our universe and Wikipedia includes ALL the names of galaxies in our universe; thus creating approximately 100 billion articles. Each article dedicated to each galaxy! Thus we would potentially have about 200 billion articles. And this is not an uncyclopedic prediction! Siva1979 12:45, 9 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

10,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 articles if you have all the stars in all the galaxy. And names for All the universes and stars and galaxies in them, + the other topics, makes a possible 999,999,999,999,999,999,999,999,999,999,999,999,999,999,999,999,999,999,999... articles by the year 100,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 AD. The star Aag-tenk (a Snooke (random alien) god) MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMXLVIII (16,048) will be the last topic then. - Ghelaetalkcontribs 13:47, 14 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Well, there is a strong possibility that Wikipedia would cease to exist in about 1000 years from now. --Siva1979Talk to me 20:23, 30 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Well, can we know?? I traditionally thought humans cannot live to be 1000 years old; however, 12.144.5.2 says that there can soon be advanced technology that can make it possible to live to be thousands of years. Anyone know what this technology could be?? Georgia guy 20:25, 30 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah, it's true that if we get articles for all the galaxies and stars in them and a whole bunch of the universes and stars within them, we'll have a possible 999,999,999,999,999,999,999,999,999,999,999,999,999,999,999,999,999,999,999... number of articles eventually. I don't know what the eleventy-billionth topic will be. Voortle 00:02, 7 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Also...[edit]

How about we add to the pool the name for what people think the 110,000,000,000th article might be called? - Ghelaetalkcontribs 13:47, 14 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

That would be too complex as far as adding it to this pool directly. I would simply suggest opening (creating) a separate eleventy-billionth topic pool. This is in line with the millionth and two-millionth topic pools, which are/were separate from the million and two-million pools for guessing when the article will arrive, respectively. (Sorry if my suggestion is what you meant!) --WCQuidditch 17:24, 26 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I feel that the eleventy-billionth topic would most probably be about a star or galaxy in our universe. There is also a high chance of it being about a human being or a new life form of an alien species. Wikipedia would most probably reach eleventy-billion topics in about 100 to 200 years time! (I may be proven wrong - it could well be in about 50 years!) --Siva1979Talk to me 14:34, 9 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I've added such a pool Wikipedia:Eleventy-billionth topic pool. Voortle 23:52, 24 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I've split the page[edit]

I've split up this lengthy page. I've moved all the guesses without a specified day, month or year to Wikipedia:Eleventy-billion pool/Guesses with unspecified year. Voortle 23:41, 24 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
