Thanks Pat,

That's a very interesting report, sounds like some useful things are starting.

  • Re the editathon, may I suggest broadening it from people to places and events? "Tempest Anderson his eruptions, times and people" might suit.
  • I've categorised a couple of those images and split them into vulcanology and glaciology. I suggest that subdividing the collection that way will allow you to make it relevant to wikiprojects - when you've got a few more images up you could drop them notes on the respective WP pages.
  • QRcodes would be great, I suspect you will find that most dinosaurs will have articles already so QRcodes and paleontology are a good match. Does the museum have a particular language group they want to make this available to? If so you can do a shout out to that language community once you've decided which exhibits you are putting QR codes on. It would also be a great excuse for an editathon, especially if you can get the curators to check or red pen the relevant Wikipedia articles.
