'See also' needs a link to relevant template[s][edit]

I came here because I need to tag a section of an article as needing an international perspective and expected to find a link here to a suitable template. I know such a template exists but not its name. Could someone interested in this essay please supply? --John Maynard Friedman (talk) 12:15, 8 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

@John Maynard Friedman: I suppose you mean Template:Globalize. QVVERTYVS (hm?) 08:46, 23 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Careful with suggesting deletion of geographical locales[edit]

I believe that this essay, as it stood, too readily suggested the possibility of deletion of geographical locales. Editors need to remember that Wikipedia is not just an encyclopedia, it is a gazetteer as well. See Wikipedia:Five pillars. As WP:PLACEOUTCOMES says Cities and villages anywhere in the world are generally kept, regardless of size or length of existence, as long as that existence can be verified through a reliable source. This usually also applies to any other area that has a legally recognized government, such as counties, parishes and municipalities. They generally do have a reliable source at the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency database. See also the guideline at Wikipedia:Notability (geographic features) I edited the essay to make that a little clearer. --Bejnar (talk) 19:56, 27 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
