Seriously, you need quality assurance for your student contributions. I've seen three of the contribute, and all their edits were independently reverted, sometimes even in form of Edit wars.

The contributions were apparently:

badly researched, including incorrect facts
redundant to the existing text
not properly wiki-formatted
of low english language quality
of low contribution to the article ("xyz is a pretty application that can do wonderful things"

E.g. [1] [2] [3]

Sorry, this doesn't work the way you are trying to do it. You can't assign students random articles and expect them to be able to contribute at a Wikipedia level. They should be domain experts before contributing for most of the articles, and their language skills need to be top-notch, which many native speakers do not achieve! Please rethink this course.
