Suggestion[edit]

I suggest project includes the creation of the pages for all women who have been awarded Padma awards like Padma Vibhushan,Padma Bhusan, Padma Shri. ThanksShyamsunder (talk) 18:53, 15 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

  • Good suggestion. +1 Most probably Dharmadhyaksha or Sitush or Ekabhishek (uh, my memory) and I were discussing on creating articles on all Padma Bibhushan award winners. There are many Padma Shri winners. I never counted women only. TitoDutta 18:57, 15 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Lead image change proposal[edit]

In the lead section of this page the following image has been used: File:Raja Ravi Varma, The Maharashtrian Lady.jpg, a painting of Raja Ravi Varma. I feel the image does not match with the theme. An image like File:Kalpana Chawla, NASA photo portrait in orange suit.jpg could be better, I think. TitoDutta 21:08, 15 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

What if I say, none of the above but an image of someone active contributor to online encyclopedia, Wikipedia? (File:Netha_Hussain-925.jpg?) Why Kalpana Chawla? Who is she? An Indian-American astronaut who died who died during the failed re-entry of Space Shuttle "Columbia"? Why should she be there? A single reason please! There are many actually, how about if I propose first Indian state illiterate chief minister Rabri Devi image for this purpose? It definitely is irrelevant. I feel, it is encyclopedia and image should be one of the Wikipedians/Wikimedians. Anupmehra -Let's talk! 23:48, 15 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
  • Highlighting one editor may not match with collaborative effort. Collage image may go well. TitoDutta 23:53, 15 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Kalpana was Indian-American. I will prefer someone like Saina Nehwal the badminton champion.Shyamsunder (talk) 01:03, 16 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Having a collage of female wikipedians would be a better idea. Vensatry (Ping) 05:55, 16 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, collage image would be better. (Sorry if I partially did sound rude last night, I was drunk.) Anupmehra -Let's talk! 17:42, 16 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Let us go for a collage image of notable women in India. We are celebrating Indian women here, not Indian women Wikipedians. -- Netha (talk) 18:16, 16 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
  • Select files, someone else or I may go ahead and create an collage. TitoDutta 18:19, 16 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Let us ensure that we have pictures of notable women representing different fields (say, politics, science, literature and so on) on the collage. -- Netha (talk) 18:32, 16 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
  • Remove or add images from this list.
a) There is not any image of Saina Nehwal, P. T. Usha. b) I have not added any image from the fields cinema, politics (other than Pratibha Patil). Feel free to add.

Hello![edit]

Hello everybody, I was passing by "Articles needing creation" section related to Indian women politician. There are some have been created and some awaiting creation (particularly members of Rajya Sabha). I do not see any of the listed suggested names on "Rajya Sabha former members search", here. Any suggestion? Anupmehra -Let's talk! 16:38, 21 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Found it, here. Anupmehra -Let's talk! 16:43, 21 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Articles needing creation[edit]

Hi, I'm Anup. I was just wondering if people listing new names under "Articles under creation" give us a hint to specific field one subject is related to, it'd be much easier thereafter. Anupmehra -Let's talk! 21:52, 23 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
