any movement on where?[edit]

Jus' wondering, cos I might be able to swing by... I'm also completely out of the loop lately, so could someone possibly give a few details about how such workshops work - who's a good fit to come along, how (if at all) it's structured, and there a drink / chat / social meetup aspect to the thing at all? ta! Privatemusings (talk) 01:31, 31 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

SLNSW and APC are options. One of the above local orgs might also be interested..? John Vandenberg (chat) 04:52, 31 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]
hopefully someone's had the chance to line somewhere up... I'll keep an eye on this page... Privatemusings (talk) 00:45, 2 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
The State Library is definitely a good choice. There's a wealth of material that we can access right there. Although, I have one problem with their services: the temperamental internet speeds. James (TalkContribs) • 9:43pm 10:43, 2 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Another similar nonprofit I know of meets at Google's Sydney office. They seem quite willing to sponsor with space + network. But I'm more suggesting a longer term matchup than something to be organized within a week. --99of9 (talk) 01:07, 2 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Participation is likely to be reduced if we don't decide in advance on a venue. Tony (talk) 02:45, 8 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
beautifully understated ;-) (I particularly like the implication of a new definition of 'advance' :-) - It looks like this is an idea without a volunteer to coral? Privatemusings (talk) 21:58, 8 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Well I'm not coming, but you obviously need a decision maker. So, since the APC is no longer an option, it's officially at SLNSW! Someone else can be decisive about the time. --99of9 (talk) 00:46, 9 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

whiteghost.ink is now requesting a room at SLNSW. John Vandenberg (chat) 01:53, 9 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
It will be in one of the study rooms. I've added details to the Venue section. John Vandenberg (chat) 02:12, 10 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry[edit]

Sorry I couldn't attend, I got bitten by a red-back spider and I was at a General Practice for about 1 hour (waiting time included) then I was at a hospital for 4 hours while they monitored my progress and any symptomatic behaviour before discharging me. I wish I'd brought a book, those were the longest 5 hours of my life. James (TalkContribs) • 11:04pm 12:04, 10 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
