Tips for new participants:

  • Watchlist the pages you work on (see the "star" icon at the top)—you'll probably want to revisit them, if for no other reason than to see whether they've been subsequently edited.
  • The number of reader visits for any pages you work on can be accessed here. Occasionally this tool is down. The past three months' visit numbers are available at a click from the first histogram you'll see.
  • Editing style: go easy on capital letters (article and section titles are in normal case); avoid linking common terms (e.g. not "Australia" or "Sydney", but probably University of Sydney would be useful, plus links to articles on specific people and areas of achievement. Dates for Australian subjects are 1 December 1970, not December 1, 1970.

Thank you and happy editing! Don't hesitate to ask me or anyone else listed overleaf for assistance, by clicking on "talk" next to our signatures. Tony (talk) 11:33, 27 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

DYK for Ros Pesman[edit]

People who were involved in this event might like to know that, after a fair bit of effort in the last week, the article on Ros Pesman has now been peer-reviewed and accepted to feature in the "did you know' section of the Main Page from 10:25 to 22:25 on December 20 (Sydney time).
