Classification[edit]
Julia Marcell and a few other proposed biography subjects are included here rather than on the main page - a classification question, this, only - because their MySpace pages (?) claim a classical influence. (Marcell has been reported on in Polish Muzyka and may meet notability criteria; I am asking whether, for a few cases here, there might be cause to move people to another list.) John Stump 1944–2006 American John Stump, composer of Faerie’s Aire and Death Waltz[edit]
I note here for the record that many attempts to create this entry have been made over the years under both his Name and Pieces - all attempts have been deleted - often by "Speedy Methods", by those who appear to display no knowledge of him or his influence on music or musicians over the years. I'm the latest to attempt - I give up now too - I understand why people lose interest! Perhaps some one who believes in the importance of this entry needs to add it to a "Project" if they can find an appropriate one. There's heaps of info been added and deleted over the years including Main & User Page entries, Talk pages, Etc. The "blog" of his own relative even, or any other link is apparently not considered suitable documentation. Material relating to John Stump, his compositions, and all related musical Satirical Material - other composers and compositions - has been regularly deleted - one previous reason related to entries not meeting Wiki policies due to being still alive - he is now deceased (2006). The most comprehensive removal also included the entire category Category:Satirical Musical Compositions One discussion on http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:Satirical_Musical_Compositions It would appear that inclusion of such material will never be permitted unless/until editorial attitudes change, or someone can build a more appropriate case.
