Hello there,

Welcome to the Special Seminar in Sociology. Collective Intelligence in Practice: Understanding Wikipedia course!

Our syllabus is available at tinyurl.com/colint2014f. There may still be minor changes; you'll receive a printed version on our first day of class next Monday. Please let me know if you have any questions; I am available to meet with you on campus this week too.

Our course needs more students attending it; currently only 3 (THREE) students have signed up for it. We need at least 6 students for this course to happen. I am therefore going to award 1 extra credit point to any student who recruits another person who will stay with us after add-drop period (so, after 2 weeks). Please tell your friends - particularly in other departments - that there is this cool Wikipedia-themed course out there looking for recruits!
