Add Mikhail Gorbechev Rises to Power

[edit]

Really simple and important, it needs to be here --Hushak 21:21, 10 March 2020 (EST)

Incorrect plural

[edit]

1845 should read "...between Maori and...". The correct plural of Maori is Maori.

The pic is dead... I think we need a new one. --Daysleeper47 19:18, 5 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Paul I

[edit]

This event is listed on the March 23 page. The Paul I of Russia article distinguishes March 11 is the old style date. Kentholke (talk) 22:03, 7 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Could it be listed? --Diego Grez (talk) 21:06, 11 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

It's a GA, but reading the article, it seems to be a minor quake. There were few casualties, no tsunami, and no dollar amount of damages listed, so it doesn't look like a good candidate. howcheng {chat} 16:47, 10 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Edit request on 10 March 2013

[edit]

Perhaps a blurb for Royal Assent should be created as there is this blurb which has huge effect in the Commonwealth of Nations:

1708 – Queen Anne withholds Royal Assent from the Scottish Militia Bill, the last time a British monarch vetoes legislation.

I was thinking this would only go into the eligible list, and posted up say in 2018. Royal Assent is an FA article, and Queen Anne is a GA article. RightCowLeftCoast (talk) 13:36, 10 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Go ahead and do it in a few days when this is no longer protected. howcheng {chat} 18:03, 10 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Would it be possible for the list to be a little less bloody? Four out of five items have an explicit body count. Melchoir (talk) 16:48, 11 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry, I didn't notice... I'm usually observant of that sort of thing. howcheng {chat} 03:31, 12 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

2016 request

[edit]

Request - Eta Carinae (this one doesn't involve blood or body counts!) Cas Liber (talk · contribs) 00:53, 30 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Further request - 2011 Tōhoku earthquake and tsunami Its last (and only) appearance as a featured article was in 2013. Now 2016 is a significant anniversary date, especially for Japan and those who were affected. Requesting a 2016 feature for 2011 Tōhoku earthquake and tsunami on its 5th anniversary. — Preceding unsigned comment added by CrashesToAshes (talkcontribs) 10:41, 22 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

@CrashesToAshes: Unfortunately, that article is ineligible due to a section being outdated. howcheng {chat} 08:05, 9 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
