I don't know why they do not match, but the current article is better English and has consensus.

Question: Bencherlite, 2 questions: (i) why does the TFA blurb differ from the article as it stood} when you prepared the blurb; (ii) is it permitted to alter the blurb once it's no longer TFA? --Redrose64 (talk) 15:58, 18 August 2013 (UTC)

(1) Other hands drafted/copyedited the blurb at WP:TFAR - I didn't write it. (2) I don't see the point of altering what was actually displayed on the main page on that date to show what we might have liked to have shown instead. We don't alter the list of archived DYK hooks at WP:Recent additions, for example. Bencherlite^Talk 21:43, 18 August 2013 (UTC)
