Copy edit feedback[edit]

@Dank and Espresso Addict: This seems an appropriate place to report back, further to this thread. I note in passing that virtually all of the articles are older FAs, which surprised me; and means that I have let myself in for more work than I had realised.

I am not sure what level, if any, of feedback you would prefer. Let me know if I am getting it wrong. For May, given the tight timescale, I am triaging. Quality will, I hope, improve for June, when I should have a little more notice.

1–6 are all, IMO, fine, copy edit-wise. I have also checked off four articles from later in the month and put another into GOCE requesting a copy edit. I shall endeavour to go through 7–12 over the next couple of days.

@Miniapolis and Reidgreg: I will try to keep the referrals to Requests to a minimum and try to give an indication of the level of scrutiny I feel that each article needs. If you feel that I am overdoing the number of referrals, please feel free to let me know.

Thanks much. - Dank (push to talk) 18:37, 1 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]
@Gog the Mild: This sounds very organised, thank you. If I can help out, let me know; I'm generally good on Brits, literature, classical music, biology/medicine, but I don't do sport, any kind of pop music, non-British politics, military. Espresso Addict (talk) 19:17, 1 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]
An update, just in case anyone cares. I have now looked over - in some cases very cursorily - the articles 1 - 31 May, except for:
  • 22 and 29, which I have still to do
  • 23, which is a GOCE request and is currently being worked on
  • 24, which Espresso Addict has generously agreed to look at
  • 26, which is a GOCE request
  • 28, where I have a query outstanding with the nominators
I have been pleasantly surprised at the high quality of almost all of the FAs. I feel that I am getting a grip on how to pick off the most common errors in a time efficient manner. Gog the Mild (talk) 20:50, 5 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]
