    • So it appears the most recent would be 27 November, and this is for 25 December. So less than one month's time between the two. And yet about one month. That seems perfectly fine to me. :) — Cirt (talk) 23:53, 18 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]
      • Indeed. A 15th-century painting is rather different from a 20th-century painting in the same way that a 15th-century piece of music is different from a 20th-century piece of music; plus Nativity has a very strong date link to 25th December, so frankly I suspect I'd be running this even if Freedom from Want had been TFA in the week before Christmas. • Fascinating. — Cirt (talk) 00:08, 19 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]
          • Hi Cirt, thanks for the support! For background, I've been planning this for a very long time, discussing it on my user page since September and I believe Bencherlite has been aware of it at least since it went to FAC. In case you didn't know, a different article was originally scheduled for Thanksgiving, but for a variety of reasons got replaced. If you have a problem with the proximity in dates, then please go ahead and oppose. If you want to fight on the nom page, I'd ask that you don't. I'm not adverse to pulling nominations and walking away when confronted with conflict (bad habit, but there you go) and would prefer not to see snark here. Thanks. • You misunderstand me, Victoriaearle, there was no "snark" intended. I merely meant I found the comment fascinating, literally fascinating, in a positive way. I'm for using this article, even if it were close to other dates, because I'm not too focused on that sort of thing. Congratulations on the WP:FA, — Cirt (talk) 00:52, 19 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]
              • You've been fighting with Bencherlite about dates all day and are now using this as a punching ball. We can pull it - that will put an end to the discussion, no? Victoria (tk) 00:58, 19 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]
                • No, Victoriaearle, don't pull this, please, I'm asking you kindly not to do that. I'm for this article. I'm for it appearing on the Main Page. I support its appearance on the Main Page. I don't care about other dates, that's not a big deal to me. I nominated something else for a non-specific date. — Cirt (talk) 01:01, 19 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]
