Flag[edit]

I'm pretty sure my flag toes the line in terms of acceptability. If it is deemed unacceptable, please replace it with a standard U.S. flag. Thanks. Tazerdadog (talk) 10:40, 29 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Tazerdadog: The competition has participants flying the flags of a notorious pirate, several micronations, a kingdom of Middle Earth, a former Javanese monarchy, and a conceptual nation founded by John Lennon and Yoko Ono. There is a reason that the "extant political entity" requirement exists, but no one has done anything yet to give the WikiCup leaders a reason to enforce it. So long as everything continues to be done in good fun, I doubt they ever will enforce it. I don't subscribe to the political ideology that the flag you've chosen has come to represent, but I have no issue with you flying it. (This is coming from someone who has, for several years, flown the flag of a former micronation that was raided by Italian commandos and then destroyed by naval bombardment.) I just remember that there was some fracas last year about flags, so I wanted to clear it up ahead of time. It is good to know that it won't be an issue, however. Tazerdadog (talk) 00:05, 22 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Update the main page too?[edit]

Quick question: after we sign up are we supposed to update the main page ourselves? -Well-restedTalk 12:21, 12 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

No, we'll deal with that; I'll get to it later today :) J Milburn (talk) 15:24, 12 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]
