This is a notice to let you know about Article alerts, a fully-automated subscription-based news delivery system designed to notify WikiProjects and Taskforces when articles are entering Articles for deletion, Requests for comment, Peer review and other workflows (full list). The reports are updated on a daily basis, and provide brief summaries of what happened, with relevant links to discussion or results when possible. A certain degree of customization is available; WikiProjects and Taskforces can choose which workflows to include, have individual reports generated for each workflow, have deletion discussion transcluded on the reports, and so on. An example of a customized report can be found here.

If you are already subscribed to Article Alerts, it is now easier to report bugs and request new features. We are also in the process of implementing a "news system", which would let projects know about ongoing discussions on a wikipedia-wide level, and other things of interest. The developers also note that some subscribing WikiProjects and Taskforces use the display=none parameter, but forget to give a link to their alert page. Your alert page should be located at "Wikipedia:PROJECT-OR-TASKFORCE-HOMEPAGE/Article alerts". Questions and feedback should be left at Wikipedia talk:Article alerts.

WP 1.0 bot announcement

[edit]

This message is being sent to each WikiProject that participates in the WP 1.0 assessment system. On Saturday, January 23, 2010, the WP 1.0 bot will be upgraded. Your project does not need to take any action, but the appearance of your project's summary table will change. The upgrade will make many new, optional features available to all WikiProjects. Additional information is available at the WP 1.0 project homepage. — Carl (CBM · talk) 04:11, 22 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

New Article

[edit]

Could this article Dvorana Velesajam be supported by this task force, like the Dom Sportova one is? I just made it, so some help would be appreciated. I don't know when it was built. (LAz17 (talk) 06:08, 30 January 2010 (UTC)).[reply]

Also a note on both these. It would be useful to check their capacities. DS is between six and seven thousand - not sure exactly how much. For DV I have seen 500 and 1000, but went with the 1000 number. Also, it would be very good to get some pictures of the areans from outside. So that it would look like in United Center or Belgrade Arena. Here are two pictures- we need something like this.
Can we just take the photo used here? http://www.kbkmeteor.hr/english.php?gl=10 (LAz17 (talk) 06:14, 30 January 2010 (UTC)).[reply]
Construction year could be difficult to find out. Here's an example: when was Remetinec prison built? I simply could not find that information when I wrote the article. It is a fairly high-profile building (especially in recent times :-) ), but I could not find anything.
Unfortunately these photos most probably can't be used, at least not without a permission. The easiest way is to go there, snap a photo and upload it to Commons. GregorB (talk) 19:53, 31 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Improvement drive anyone?

[edit]

The Zagreb article failed the last FAC almost a year ago, and anyone reading this knows Zagreb deserves better. The article needs a huge overhaul, including reorganising sections, better prose, improved referencing and a thorough copyedit. Most of all, it seems to me it has a lot of redundant content which isn't sufficiently expanded or is unlikely to be expanded in the future - some sections should be either removed to avoid clutter, OR expanded with well-sourced info. As for copyediting I can do it as we go along, and before submitting it for FAC we could request a professional copyedit by someone from over at the Guild of Copy Editors. I'm willing to pitch in with everything that needs to be done, but I'm wondering whether anyone else is. I could start working on it myself but I don't want to make significant changes to the article without reaching a consensus first, and it really would be nice if we could set up some guidelines to coordinate the effort if there are other interested editors. Come on people! We can do it! Around one thousand people read the article every day. Let's give them something interesting to read. If you'd like to help you're welcome to reply here or on my talk page. Timbouctou (talk) 18:02, 27 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Unreferenced living people articles bot

[edit]

User:DASHBot/Wikiprojects provides a list, updated daily, of unreferenced living people articles (BLPs) related to your project. There has been a lot of discussion recently about deleting these unreferenced articles, so it is important that these articles are referenced.

The unreferenced articles related to your project can be found at >>>Wikipedia:WikiProject Croatia/Zagreb/Unreferenced BLPs<<<

If you do not want this wikiproject to participate, please add your project name to this list.

Thank you. Okip 02:47, 28 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Request for information on WP1.0 web tool

[edit]

Hello and greetings from the maintainers of the WP 1.0 Bot! As you may or may not know, we are currently involved in an overhaul of the bot, in order to make it more modern and maintainable. As part of this process, we will be rewriting the web tool that is part of the project. You might have noticed this tool if you click through the links on the project assessment summary tables.

We'd like to collect information on how the current tool is used by....you! How do you yourself and the other maintainers of your project use the web tool? Which of its features do you need? How frequently do you use these features? And what features is the tool missing that would be useful to you? We have collected all of these questions at this Google form where you can leave your response. Walkerma (talk) 04:24, 27 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]
