Participants[edit]

If you have noticed any other Wikipedians which has been actively contribute regarding Malaysian football, feel free to recruit/refer them to this page so that we can together increased the quality of Wikipedia article on Malaysian football. We need as many help as we can. Thank you. JebatMalaya (talk) 11:09, 4 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Club page format[edit]

I have seen too many club page that need major improvement in quality as most of the pages has no History section and most still have the player list in form of table. I believe the table format for players should be moved to the club season page and the main page will keep the standard format list like in Melaka United first team list. Liga Super[edit]

@Minz48, @Shafiqabu, @Zackyusoff78 Its look like a Wikipedians which not familiar with situation of Malaysian football and Liga Super has been determined to use the uncommon name used to describe Liga Super.

The league page of many other football league has been preserving the use of their original name such as La Liga, Bundesliga, Serie A, Eredivisie and Argentine Primera División.

As we all know that Football Association of Malaysia and through Football Malaysia LLP has been determined to combat misinformation and misinterpretation among media, this is one of the step to improve the quality of the article by using a standardize common name used by the league management and local media. Can we get a consensus to used Liga Super as the article name here? JebatMalaya (talk)

Please look to gain any consensus at least at WT:FOOTY. JebatMalaya has already been blocked for move warring. Any further attempt to move this article or any other related articles without either a formal WP:RM or further discussion at WP:FOOTY will result in further blocks for whoever moves the article. This taskforce (which I am concerned has not gone through the official approval channels, but that is a matter for another day), has no authority to override the current consensus following discussions earlier at WT:FOOTY. A discussion was made a week ago through WT:FOOTY and after the discussion it seems no reply was made after a while and the discussion were archived (maybe this is deemed as non consensus I guess back then?). That's the reason a move was made after that. A problem on the WT:FOOTY before this is that it was discussed with not enough people with the knowledge about the situation on Malaysian football. As you can see, a lot need to be done to help to structure the Malaysian football task force. Not many people really active to help expand the article other than the major one. I have been researching, creating, and updating many article about Malaysian football league history from its early years in 1990s. More help are needed to find the "lost" archive which how the Football Association of Malaysia has been done past 30 years until its recent restructure to be more open to the media etc. Anyway, its a learning experienced for any Wikipedians to be better at improving any article quality. If no consensus was obtained then there is no grounds for a move, so you should not have moved the article. In fact, given that everyone else disagreed with you I would say that was pretty clear consensus that the current title is the most appropriate English language name.
