I've done a bit of work here. Look, comment, contribute! Mattopaedia (talk) 08:42, 1 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Can I join up? It says all are welcome. I would love to add material to all manner of articles, which would keep me up to date. Also, surgical pathology is a huge subject. We will likely have to subdivide eventually. If you look at my user page, you can see what kind of photomicrographs my microscope takes, which will be quite useful. @TexasPathologist: This task force is currently pretty dead. I'd recommend talking to the folks at the main [Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Medicine|WikiProject Medicine talkpage]]. I work at a Pathology lab though, so feel free to ping me if you ever want to collaborate on something! (Note: I run their IT department and know nothing about Pathology, but I'd love to learn!) Normal images for reference?

[edit]

Medical images often make little sense to non-experts without a normal image for comparison. Consider, for instance, the lead image to the featured article on coeliac disease. In my view, it would be much more informative side-by-side with something like the micrograph from small intestine. (Ideally with similar scale, colouring, and framing.)

Personally, I'd prefer a reference image to be included directly in the article, but one could also just link to "(normal image for comparison)" or somesuch. I think this would be useful in most cases, the major exceptions being familiar external features (hands, face) and possibly X-rays of obvious fractures. I'd like to hear how other people's opinions about this. --Jon Olav Vik (talk) 11:47, 18 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Request for information on WP1.0 web tool

[edit]

Hello and greetings from the maintainers of the WP 1.0 Bot! As you may or may not know, we are currently involved in an overhaul of the bot, in order to make it more modern and maintainable. As part of this process, we will be rewriting the web tool that is part of the project. You might have noticed this tool if you click through the links on the project assessment summary tables.

We'd like to collect information on how the current tool is used by....you! How do you yourself and the other maintainers of your project use the web tool? Which of its features do you need? How frequently do you use these features? And what features is the tool missing that would be useful to you? We have collected all of these questions at this Google form where you can leave your response. Walkerma (talk) 04:24, 27 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]
