Can you help to disambiguation the links to the disambiguation page Electronic metal? They are shown in this list but I am not expert enough in the different genres to get this right.— Rod talk 17:02, 13 November 2022 (UTC)

Green Lung

There are a lot of newer UK bands who I think would be considered notable, but do not have pages. I have come here to rectify this. However, this website seems very complicated and I think it will take me a while to understand what goes where. I have begun with this draft article: Draft:Green Lung. Your feedback would be very much appreciated, before I submit it for review. I have done my best, but I am sure there are many, many things wrong with it.

The "help with editing" guidance suggested that this was the right place to ask for help. If I got it wrong, please let me know where I should go instead.

@CasualInterestInManyThings: Hi, it looks quite good with some decent reliable sources coverage such as The Guardian and Kerrang but some of the sources used are regarded as unreliable so need to be removed and replaced if necessary. There is detailed guidance at Wikipedia:WikiProject Albums/Sources, regards Atlantic306 (talk) 21:00, 12 November 2022 (UTC)
@Atlantic306: Thank you for this. It's very useful for both that particular article and, I think, how the site works in general. It presents a bit of a dilemma, though - if there is an alternative band which has recently picked up enough coverage in publications favoured by Wikipedia to be considered notable, it seems to me that the band's early history ought to be included for the article to be informative. However, it's quite likely that the early history of still-relatively obscure metal (say) bands sometimes isn't going to be covered in the right sort of publications even if the information is out there and easily available, so there wouldn't be a reliable source for it. Does that mean it just can't be included?
Green Lung, I should say, are one of the relatively more covered bands among those for whom I was looking to write articles. On this basis, Cage Fight and Pupil Slicer may well have to wait. Hopefully Saor and Party Cannon should still manage...
Thanks again for your help.

@CasualInterestInManyThings: Glad to help, it is best to rely on reliable sources but that list is for music-specific sources. Most national and local newspapers are acceptable (not the Daily Mail or The Sun) as are book sources from an established publisher (not self-published) and well-known general magazines, regards Atlantic306 (talk) 19:14, 14 November 2022 (UTC)
