Tagging/Adding/Assessing of non-article pages[edit]

@WP:MILHIST coordinators: , I have a question in regards to the drive. What about the tagging and adding of non-article pages? I specifically mean stuff like categories and redirects. Also what about their assessment (as they´re not assessed against B-class criteria but simply classified)? Any place for that in the drive? Linking to the drive[edit]

Would it be possible to put a link to the drive page on the main WikiProject page or perhaps the Contests page? I feel it could be made a little easier to direct editors here if they didn't get a link on their talk page. (At the moment there are only four Wikipedia-namespace links to the drive page, and they're all subpages.) Thanks! – Reidgreg (talk) 14:18, 27 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Tagging for task forces[edit]

When tagging articles for task forces, does that have to be through the main {{WikiProject Military History}} template? For example, Template:WikiProject Canada has a parameter for the Canadian military history task force. Would tagging through that count for the drive, or does it have to be through the WikiProject Military History template? Is it preferred to have both of the WikiProject templates, but mark the task force on only one of them? – Reidgreg (talk) 14:01, 28 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I've done a lot of tagging and I'm wondering if I'm scoring myself correctly. Note 2 on the instructions says If an article is already assigned to a task force, points can still be claimed if a new (relevant) task force is added. The plural "points" has me thinking that you get 1 point for each task force added to an article. eg: adding 5 task forces to an article is worth 5 points. I don't see anything contradicting that in the instructions, but it feels like too many points for the work. – Reidgreg (talk) 20:38, 7 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I don't see anyone else making this mistake, but perhaps the table could be refined as: Adding an article or non article page to a MILHIST task force → Adding MILHIST task force(s) to an article or non-article talk page. Assessing articles[edit]

I notice the worklist headers just state "Articles assessed" whilst the instructions refer specifically to the B-class criteria. Does assessing articles as stubs count (where the B-class criteria aren't used)? - Dumelow (talk) 07:10, 30 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Completing B-class assessment[edit]

At the time of writing, there are 325 articles that have incomplete B-class checklists. Would these count for item 3 (Assessing an article against the Milhist B-class criteria) for the purpose of the drive? — Sasuke Sarutobi (talk) 14:04, 2 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

@WP:MILHIST coordinators: - Pinging the co-ords for a response. In my opinion I can't see why not - it is a backlog that could do with clearing and assessing for only some of the criteria doesn't take much less time/effort than assessing for all - Dumelow (talk) 17:53, 4 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Finalising worklists[edit]

G'day all, the drive has now concluded. Thank you to all who participated. Can I please ask that participants please finalise their worklists? When doing so, please only include work that was concluded between 1 and 30 April. I will wait 24 hours or so, and then look to archive the page, so that tallying can commence. From what I can tell there are a few editors who have signed up for the drive, but have not submitted worklists. Can I please ask that those who have not submitted worklists, who still wish to participate, add their worklists here? I think this affects the following editors: Ipigott, Krishna Chaitanya Velaga, Robinvp11, Tbrazier, NoetherianRing, Raavi Mohanty and Seraphim System. Please note, closing co-ords can really only go off what you have on your worklist. @Cdjp1: To help me out, can I please ask that you take the extra day that is being given per the above, to finalise your worklist too? As you pinged me, I tried to find out where to list the articles but it seemed very complicated. In any case, I think I only created two: Lone Træholt and Jette Albinus. Drive's outcomes - Any planned netrics please?[edit]

@WP:MILHIST coordinators: Hi, as someone said this "drive" has been fun... as well as useful. Once everything is tallied, can any "overall performance metrics" be published?
