Editathon[edit]

Who picked this topic for Wikipedia editors in Kansas in partnership with a museum that focuses on Kansas artists? It not only seems like a waste of potential given the knowledge of the museum's staff, but of the editors who are more likely to be familiar with a Kansas subject than an English, Romantic Age poet and artist. Thanks for the question @Spacini:. We are doing a similar event again in the spring around Kansas Art, but this is the first of a series of events bridging Wikipedia with the academic interests of faculty and the mission of the Beach to connect their collection and university education about the arts with the world. The idea is to get the museum staff a taste of how a GLAM-Wiki event works while another organization is the primary sponsor, Sadads (talk) 02:37, 18 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for the very quick response! I'm definitely "in" for the spring event. Spacini (talk) 16:02, 18 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Glad to know that you are in @Spacini:! I am going to add you to Wikipedia:Meetup/Kansas/Invite list for invites to future events, Sadads (talk) 16:25, 18 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Report[edit]

I'm greatly interested to hear about the event, number of participants, and the work accomplished.

On it, sorry it took so long, the last couple weeks turned into an overwhelming amount of activities related to grad school. I am just now getting back into the swing of things :P Sadads (talk) 03:07, 25 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
