tagging[edit]

"Any articles that are within the scope of this project should be tagged with {{Pokeproject}}. To this banner, you should add species=yes as this will automatically put the page into Category:Pokémon species task force articles." is this really neccessary? can't we just use either the master list, or a conglomerate of Category:Pokémon species by generation? -PokeZap (Zappernapper) 16:09, 27 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

That kind of system is the norm for task forces I think. FunPika 13:50, 6 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Pokémon species userpace articles[edit]

Before asking about making a species article see if one has already been started.

The main thing any article needs is notablitiy. It would be wise to find good "Critical reception" before even attempting to make an article. --Blake (talk) 21:30, 19 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Project Space Articles.[edit]

What do you think about making updated Pokémon species articles in the Project space.

Example: Wikipedia:WikiProject Pokémon/Species/Lucario or Wikipedia:WikiProject Pokémon/Lucario

Or, making them on the actual pages with the redirect still on the top of the page. So, they will still redirect, but anybody that wants to help can click back and edit the article. I dont like having these articles in our userspace, and I would like to see what current, updated species articles would look like. Then they can work from there. I just want to know where we can put these articles legally. --Blake (talk) 19:30, 23 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

On a side note, I found some articles like "Wikipedia:WikiProject Pokémon/Shroomish evolutionary line" and "Wikipedia:WikiProject Pokémon/Jynx evolutionary line". What should we do with these? --Blake (talk) 03:05, 24 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

evolution lines[edit]

I have noticed that some articles are combined, for example Abra, Kadabra, and Alakazam or Caterpie, Metapod, and Butterfree and I was wondering do we do this when all three (or two, in the case of Nosepass and Probopass )do we group them up? (Lunashy (talk) 06:53, 10 April 2012 (UTC))[reply]

I think it depends on how notable each individual one is. Some (like Charmander, Charmeleon, and Charizard) are notable enough for each one to have its own, but usually combining the evolutionary line into one article is better. Supernerd11 :D Firemind ^_^ Pokedex 18:48, 4 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]
