Unionism and the Union

The meaning of Unionism in the context of the United Kingdom has a complex meaning and is tied (in modern days) to The Troubles. So its meaning is more complex that simply being pro the maintenance of the Union. Over the last year there have been several attempts to label the Scottish Labour Party as Unionist which have been opposed on the page. This is a pretty obvious political move as catholic working class communities were more likely to vote for independence and are the historic bedrock of the Scottish Labour Party. Now we have had a series of articles set up with titles implying a Unionist movement (listed below) with little or no citation support. It is mostly gathering data in respect of attitudes to independence and then associated those ideas with a definition of Unionism currently unsupported by citations. Each of the articles listed below could do with some attention.

"Alexander Mackenzie"

The primary topic of Alexander Mackenzie is under discussion, see talk:Alexander Mackenzie (disambiguation) -- 70.51.46.39 (talk) 07:01, 5 March 2016 (UTC)

Oireachtas template

I've nominated the template Template:S-par/ie/oi for deletion. It relates to the way that members of the Irish parliament are represented in a peculiar infobox. The discussion here may interest this project. Laurel Lodged (talk) 17:22, 5 March 2016 (UTC)
