[edit]

I feel like we need some kind of quick summary at the bottom before we launch into the "About The Indiana State House" section, but I don't know enough about proper formatting for press releases to know if this is appropriate.

Some thoughts:
  • Try to think of a way you can catch the reader's attention with the first sentence. Maybe play around with the theme of invisibility in regard to public art? The basic idea for an article is that you want to state the most important information first and then go in descending order of importance. With that in mind, I'd suggest bringing up paragraph 4 ("Students enrolled...") before Jennifer's quote. Her comment could act as a strong conclusion, as well, since it summarizes the main ideas of the project.
  • The other suggestion I have for you is to briefly explain who Jennifer is before you introduce her quote; otherwise, the reader doesn't know who is speaking.
  • For AP style nit-picking, just make sure you spell out numbers one through nine and use numerals for 10 and above (i.e. "forty artworks" and "20 students").
  • Also, are you planning to address what's going on at the State House that day (the reason why we're gathering on the 16th specifically, and not any other day?) Might make it seem more newsworthy?
Okay! Hope this helps. We have a good start here.--KMSchmidt (talk) 04:56, 13 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I also feel like the section on the MSTD program is a bit too long. Any thoughts? --Driefler (talk) 20:54, 12 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Okay, I added a one-sentence conclusion sort of thing to the end of the first section. --Driefler (talk) 23:37, 12 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
