I am currently attempting to work on articles on the Munich U-Bahn system. To avoid any unneeded afterchanges I'd ask for your input in direction of naming guidelines for the U-Bahn stations and Navboxes. Agathoclea 07:18, 10 October 2006 (UTC)

Project directory

Hello. The WikiProject Council has recently updated the Wikipedia:WikiProject Council/Directory. This new directory includes a variety of categories and subcategories which will, with luck, potentially draw new members to the projects who are interested in those specific subjects. Please review the directory and make any changes to the entries for your project that you see fit. There is also a directory of portals, at User:B2T2/Portal, listing all the existing portals. Feel free to add any of them to the portals or comments section of your entries in the directory. The three columns regarding assessment, peer review, and collaboration are included in the directory for both the use of the projects themselves and for that of others. Having such departments will allow a project to more quickly and easily identify its most important articles and its articles in greatest need of improvement. If you have not already done so, please consider whether your project would benefit from having departments which deal in these matters. It is my hope that all the changes to the directory can be finished by the first of next month. Please feel free to make any changes you see fit to the entries for your project before then. If you should have any questions regarding this matter, please do not hesitate to contact me. Thank you. B2T2 23:20, 25 October 2006 (UTC)

Haxo (Paris Métro)

Haxo (Paris Métro) - I have recently added this page and put it in the [[category:rapid transport stubs]], although I think the article is now a decent length considering the dearth of information there is on the topic, and probably warrants removal of its stub statuses - please advise, thanks. Superbfc 22:17, 5 November 2006 (UTC)

The article has a lot of info, so I went and removed the stub tags. Thanks for letting us know. -- Selmo (talk) 04:39, 8 November 2006 (UTC)

Buses and bus systems?

Another editor added {{TrainsWikiProject}} to Talk:Double-decker bus. While I can easily see how buses fit in to a rapid transit topic, they don't really fit in with TWP. Is this project going to work on bus and bus system articles now too? It would seem logical to include them based on the scope statement here. If you are going to work on bus articles, perhaps it's time to develop a {{WP rapid transit}} (or some similar name) project banner so bus articles don't get classified into rail categories by {{TrainsWikiProject}}. Slambo (Speak) 12:36, 17 November 2006 (UTC)

I had subway and subway-like transit systems in mind while creating the project, but let's see what others have to say. I somewhat agree with the inclusion of bus-related articles though... -- Selmo (talk) 00:23, 18 November 2006 (UTC)
I've started on a possible banner for this project at User:Slambo/WP rapid transit. Right now, the only parameter implemented is small to display a small format of the banner. Adding other functionality, such as assessments, requires additional categories which are not set up yet (but they can be created quickly if you decide to use them). Slambo (Speak) 17:44, 19 November 2006 (UTC)

Assessment categories created

Since the basic code was added to the new template for quality assessments, I finished the setup for the categories and the template. I've added the categories to {{TrainsWikiProject}} as well so it will categorize pages appropriately. Slambo (Speak) 18:31, 23 November 2006 (UTC)

Project problem

Just to point out, this project may run into difficulties with other projects that focus on 1 or more rapid transit and associated systems, i think. Simply south 00:30, 26 November 2006 (UTC)

I don't see how. Many projects, such as The TV WikiProject and the The Simpsons WikiProject don't seem to have any difficulties with each other. I don't know how this would cause difficulties with other system-specific projects. -- Selmo (talk) 01:34, 26 November 2006 (UTC)

London Underground is up for a featured article review. Detailed concerns may be found here. Please leave your comments and help us address and maintain this article's featured quality. Sandy (Talk) 02:10, 30 November 2006 (UTC)

Thought this might be of interest here. A Seoul subway station, Yeouinaru Station, is up for deletion. As it's currently a stub, it does take time to write detail for so many stations in this project (I know, as being part of WikiProject Stations). --Oakshade 01:30, 4 December 2006 (UTC)

Portal updates?

I haven't seen any significant activity on Portal:Rapid transit since October. Is there a project member here who can step up and maintain the portal more frequently? Slambo (Speak) 16:51, 18 December 2006 (UTC)

I'm interested in working on it. I'm kinda busy doing other things though. -- Selmo (talk) 04:01, 19 December 2006 (UTC)

A Paris Métro station, Jules Joffrin (Paris Métro), has been nominated for deletion. Please see Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Jules Joffrin (Paris Métro) for a discussion which may lead to the deletion of the article Jules Joffrin (Paris Métro). Another editor has proposed that Jules Joffrin (Paris Métro) be merged into Paris Métro, which I think would be unworkable. --Eastmain 04:23, 22 December 2006 (UTC)

Wikipedia Day Awards

Hello, all. It was initially my hope to try to have this done as part of Esperanza's proposal for an appreciation week to end on Wikipedia Day, January 15. However, several people have once again proposed the entirety of Esperanza for deletion, so that might not work. It was the intention of the Appreciation Week proposal to set aside a given time when the various individuals who have made significant, valuable contributions to the encyclopedia would be recognized and honored. I believe that, with some effort, this could still be done. My proposal is to, with luck, try to organize the various WikiProjects and other entities of wikipedia to take part in a larger celebrartion of its contributors to take place in January, probably beginning January 15, 2007. I have created yet another new subpage for myself (a weakness of mine, I'm afraid) at User talk:Badbilltucker/Appreciation Week where I would greatly appreciate any indications from the members of this project as to whether and how they might be willing and/or able to assist in recognizing the contributions of our editors. Thank you for your attention. Badbilltucker 16:13, 30 December 2006 (UTC)

WP Munich Transsportation Task Force

I'm trying to start a task force for WikiProject Munich that can deal with the U-Bahn, S-Bahn and so on for Munich. Is there anyone in this project willing to start up this task force? Kingjeff 16:18, 28 March 2007 (UTC)

Buses?

According to the scope (and the name), this project is for rapid transit, a type of railway. Why are articles like double-decker bus included? --NE2 10:56, 12 April 2007 (UTC)

Help with info boxes

The |logo= tag is not working in the infoboxes used by all the Bay Area Rapid Transit station subpages. An example is at Dublin/Pleasanton. The called image is a valid image. It displays if you move it to the image tag, and is also used in the info box for Bay Area Rapid Transit. Could someone with knowledge of infoboxes look at this? Thanks Tuyvan 04:16, 14 April 2007 (UTC)

Map templates in infoboxes

I think that there should be a parameter to add the map templates from WP:TRAIL into {{Infobox Public transit}}. It would look much neater, especially since the maps are closer to the right edge than the infoboxes, which looks unappealing when they are right on top of each other (see United States Capitol Subway System or O'Hare Airport Transit System). –Dream out loud (talk) 17:17, 10 July 2007 (UTC)

I figured out a way to do it with {{Infobox rail line}}. See Market-Frankford Line, Broad Street Line, and PATCO Speedline for examples with custom maps, and see Las Vegas Monorail and O'Hare Airport Transit System for examples using WP:TRAIL templates. –Dream out loud (talk) 17:59, 18 July 2007 (UTC)
Shanghai Metro articles are being retrofitted with those kinds of map templates right now. —O () 19:27, 22 September 2007 (GMT)

New York City Subway station naming convention

Over at WP:NYCPT, we are trying to reach a consensus on how New York City Subway stations should be named, because the subway system uses various names and punctuation formats for its stations, and users have "move-warred" articles in the absence of an agreed-upon guideline. The proposed convention is at Wikipedia:WikiProject New York City Public Transportation/New York City Subway/Station naming convention. If you are interested, please visit the proposal and comment on the talk page. Thanks! TLK'in 07:32, 20 August 2007 (UTC)

Wikiproject UK Trams

I think that a Wikiproject UK Trams might be in order at the present time. There are already several Wikiprojects that cover trams, but all seem to be rather blank in the UK area. There are hardly any articles on trams, and those that there are, are either stubs, lacking factual references, or are complete so that they only need to be edited to add specialist information. i have almost single handedly revamped the National Tramway Museum Page, and it would be hard to belive that a couple of months ago, it was a stub. Please rally your support or oposal here. The project would cover all trams, both modern and heritage, proposed and forgotten, built and demolished. The page will be started in due course here. - Bluegoblin7 14:42, 15 August 2007 (UTC)

The page is now online at WP:UK Trams Bluegoblin7 09:25, 20 August 2007 (UTC)

I've put up a number of UK transport-related stub types for renaming, rescoping and/or deletion; a number of ad hoc creations have left this hierarchy in a very inconsistent state, please comment, and help resolve, one way or the other. See Stub types for deletion/Log/2007/August/20. Alai 22:17, 20 August 2007 (UTC)

Chicago L Infoboxes

I recently added some style parameters to infobxoes for stations along the Red Line of the Chicago L, because I've seen them at some stations and not others, most notably Addison (CTA Red Line). Is anybody going to fill in the rest, or make easier style templates than the current ones, like the ones that were made for Metro-North's Hudson, Harlem, Port Jervis, and New Haven lines? ---- DanTD 19:19, 22 September 2007 (UTC)

Featured article review suggested

Another editor has suggested that the Mass Rapid Transit (Singapore) article might not be featured article quality and stated his objections in the review proposal. It was removed from the main review page because the nominator put up three other articles at the same time for review. However, this gives us a chance to be a little proactive with this nom so we can clear up some of the problems before the review request is added again. If you have time, please view the objection list and work on the items that you can to help keep this article at FA status. Thanks. Slambo (Speak) 15:53, 15 November 2007 (UTC)

A new wiki specially for Trains...

Hello readers of WikiProject Rapid Transit!

I just wondered if any of you would be interested in joining up to Train Spotting World, a wiki just for railways and similar things! We are also in the process of setting up several "Workforces", similar to WikiProjects, and were wondering if anyone wnated to help!

Various wikipedians have goine over there, including myself, User:Tbo 157, User:Slambo, User:EdJogg, User:Timtrent and User:S.C.Ruffeyfan.

If you want more info, or have joined up and want some guidance, let me know here or there on my talk page!

Thanks,

translation help

Hi there, I'm writing Hamburg related S-Bahn and U-Bahn station stubs and don't now the translation for the german word Kehrgleis. A track behind the station were the trains can stop and have a rest (coffee and or smoke ;-) and than change the direction. It's not a loop and often used after island platforms. I've tried to describe it, but it sounds a bit ... german ... (see Othmarschen railway station) Maybe somebody can help ? Thx Sebastian scha. (talk) 18:01, 5 June 2008 (UTC) Hi Sebastian, I took a shot at touching up grammar a bit. I'm not an expert on rail terminology, but generally the word "siding" means a track along side the main tracks to store a train or to allow other trains to pass. So I used "siding". I think that helps get the point across. It may be the case that "siding" means the track is connected to the main line on both ends; I don't know for sure. Anyway, your English is a lot better than my Deutsche :) —Preceding unsigned comment added by Georgeiiird (talkcontribs) 17:48, 21 June 2008 (UTC)

Thank you, but it's not a 'siding', it's more an one track yard in the middle of the double track. and thanks for the grammar correction. Sebastian scha. (talk) 23:04, 21 June 2008 (UTC)

Changes to the WP:1.0 assessment scheme

As you may have heard, we at the Wikipedia 1.0 Editorial Team recently made some changes to the assessment scale, including the addition of a new level. The new description is available at WP:ASSESS.

  • The new C-Class represents articles that are beyond the basic Start-Class, but which need additional references or cleanup to meet the standards for B-Class.
  • The criteria for B-Class have been tightened up with the addition of a rubric, and are now more in line with the stricter standards already used at some projects.
  • A-Class article reviews will now need more than one person, as described here.

Each WikiProject should already have a new C-Class category at Category:C-Class_articles. If your project elects not to use the new level, you can simply delete your WikiProject's C-Class category and clarify any amendments on your project's assessment/discussion pages. The bot is already finding and listing C-Class articles.

Please leave a message with us if you have any queries regarding the introduction of the revised scheme. This scheme should allow the team to start producing offline selections for your project and the wider community within the next year. Thanks for using the Wikipedia 1.0 scheme! Wikipedia 0.7 articles have been selected for Rapid transit

Wikipedia 0.7 is a collection of English Wikipedia articles due to be released on DVD, and available for free download, later this year. The Wikipedia:Version 1.0 Editorial Team has made an automated selection of articles for Version 0.7.

We would like to ask you to review the articles selected from this project. These were chosen from the articles with this project's talk page tag, based on the rated importance and quality. If there are any specific articles that should be removed, please let us know at Wikipedia talk:Version 0.7. You can also nominate additional articles for release, following the procedure at Wikipedia:Release Version Nominations.

A list of selected articles with cleanup tags, sorted by project, is available. The list is automatically updated each hour when it is loaded. Please try to fix any urgent problems in the selected articles. A team of copyeditors has agreed to help with copyediting requests, although you should try to fix simple issues on your own if possible.

We would also appreciate your help in identifying the version of each article that you think we should use, to help avoid vandalism or POV issues. These versions can be recorded at this project's subpage of User:SelectionBot/0.7. We are planning to release the selection for the holiday season, so we ask you to select the revisions before October 20. At that time, we will use an automatic process to identify which version of each article to release, if no version has been manually selected. Thanks! Coordinators' working group

Hi! I'd like to draw your attention to the new WikiProject coordinators' working group, an effort to bring both official and unofficial WikiProject coordinators together so that the projects can more easily develop consensus and collaborate. This group has been created after discussion regarding possible changes to the A-Class review system, and that may be one of the first things discussed by interested coordinators.

All designated project coordinators are invited to join this working group. If your project hasn't formally designated any editors as coordinators, but you are someone who regularly deals with coordination tasks in the project, please feel free to join as well. — Delievered by §hepBot (Disable) on behalf of the WikiProject coordinators' working group at 06:23, 28 February 2009 (UTC)

WP 1.0 bot announcement

This message is being sent to each WikiProject that participates in the WP 1.0 assessment system. On Saturday, January 23, 2010, the WP 1.0 bot will be upgraded. Your project does not need to take any action, but the appearance of your project's summary table will change. The upgrade will make many new, optional features available to all WikiProjects. Additional information is available at the WP 1.0 project homepage. — Carl (CBM · talk) 03:50, 22 January 2010 (UTC)

Rapid transit articles have been selected for the Wikipedia 0.8 release

Version 0.8 is a collection of Wikipedia articles selected by the Wikipedia 1.0 team for offline release on USB key, DVD and mobile phone. Articles were selected based on their assessed importance and quality, then article versions (revisionIDs) were chosen for trustworthiness (freedom from vandalism) using an adaptation of the WikiTrust algorithm.

We would like to ask you to review the Rapid transit articles and revisionIDs we have chosen. Selected articles are marked with a diamond symbol (♦) to the right of each article, and this symbol links to the selected version of each article. If you believe we have included or excluded articles inappropriately, please contact us at Wikipedia talk:Version 0.8 with the details. You may wish to look at your WikiProject's articles with cleanup tags and try to improve any that need work; if you do, please give us the new revisionID at Wikipedia talk:Version 0.8. We would like to complete this consultation period by midnight UTC on Monday, October 11th.

We have greatly streamlined the process since the Version 0.7 release, so we aim to have the collection ready for distribution by the end of October, 2010. As a result, we are planning to distribute the collection much more widely, while continuing to work with groups such as One Laptop per Child and Wikipedia for Schools to extend the reach of Wikipedia worldwide. Please help us, with your WikiProject's feedback!

RfC: Opinions for List of Metro Systems

There is a content dispute in Talk:List of metro systems on the exact definition of Rapid Transit. In addition, how metro system's length should be counted and what systems and lines should be included are also being actively discussed. Particularly, Seoul Metro's is count is rather ambiguous with editors not sure how to approach the issue; Which brings in the entire criteria for "Rapid Transit" into question. Editors are currently looking at:

Leaflet for Wikiproject Rapid Transit at Wikimania 2014

Hi all,

My name is Adi Khajuria and I am helping out with Wikimania 2014 in London.

One of our initiatives is to create leaflets to increase the discoverability of various wikimedia projects, and showcase the breadth of activity within wikimedia. Any kind of project can have a physical paper leaflet designed - for free - as a tool to help recruit new contributors. These leaflets will be printed at Wikimania 2014, and the designs can be re-used in the future at other events and locations.

This is particularly aimed at highlighting less discoverable but successful projects, e.g:

• Active Wikiprojects: Wikiproject Medicine, WikiProject Video Games, Wikiproject Film

• Tech projects/Tools, which may be looking for either users or developers.

• Less known major projects: Wikinews, Wikidata, Wikivoyage, etc.

• Wiki Loves Parliaments, Wiki Loves Monuments, Wiki Loves ____

• Wikimedia thematic organisations, Wikiwomen’s Collaborative, The Signpost

The deadline for submissions is 1st July 2014

For more information or to sign up for one for your project, go to:

Comment on the WikiProject X proposal

Hello there! As you may already know, most WikiProjects here on Wikipedia struggle to stay active after they've been founded. I believe there is a lot of potential for WikiProjects to facilitate collaboration across subject areas, so I have submitted a grant proposal with the Wikimedia Foundation for the "WikiProject X" project. WikiProject X will study what makes WikiProjects succeed in retaining editors and then design a prototype WikiProject system that will recruit contributors to WikiProjects and help them run effectively. Please review the proposal here and leave feedback. If you have any questions, you can ask on the proposal page or leave a message on my talk page. Thank you for your time! (Also, sorry about the posting mistake earlier. If someone already moved my message to the talk page, feel free to remove this posting.) Harej (talk) 22:47, 1 October 2014 (UTC)

WikiProject X is live!

Hello everyone!

You may have received a message from me earlier asking you to comment on my WikiProject X proposal. The good news is that WikiProject X is now live! In our first phase, we are focusing on research. At this time, we are looking for people to share their experiences with WikiProjects: good, bad, or neutral. We are also looking for WikiProjects that may be interested in trying out new tools and layouts that will make participating easier and projects easier to maintain. If you or your WikiProject are interested, check us out! Note that this is an opt-in program; no WikiProject will be required to change anything against its wishes. Please let me know if you have any questions. Thank you!

Note: To receive additional notifications about WikiProject X on this talk page, please add this page to Wikipedia:WikiProject X/Newsletter. Otherwise, this will be the last notification sent about WikiProject X.

Are there other conventions besides WP:USSTATION and WP:UKSTATION? What should we do about over-capitalization of "Station" in other systems and countries, for example those listed in List of rail transit stations in the Greater Manila Area? Dicklyon (talk) 19:10, 19 January 2017 (UTC)

I did about 50 (not Manila) LRT Station -> LRT station moves about 3 weeks ago; as far as I can find, nobody objected or reverted any, so it seems acceptable to the editors there. I just moved more in Malaysia and 4 in Manila; will see if anyone cares. Dicklyon (talk) 05:43, 22 January 2017 (UTC)

Moved a bunch more LRT stations. No feedback from anyone yet. Dicklyon (talk) 05:29, 28 January 2017 (UTC)

I got paged by RioHondo to a new discussion about this at Wikipedia talk:Tambayan Philippines#Philippine train station naming and naming of the LRT and MRT systems. So for the Manila stations at least, I'll take my cues from there. Maybe other areas will follow? TBD. Dicklyon (talk) 06:21, 28 January 2017 (UTC)

We – Community Tech – are happy to announce that the Popular pages bot is back up-and-running (after a one year hiatus)! You're receiving this message because your WikiProject or task force is signed up to receive the popular pages report. Every month, Community Tech bot will post at Wikipedia:WikiProject Rapid transit/Archive 1/Popular pages with a list of the most-viewed pages over the previous month that are within the scope of WikiProject Rapid transit.

We've made some enhancements to the original report. Here's what's new:

  • The pageview data includes both desktop and mobile data.
  • The report will include a link to the pageviews tool for each article, to dig deeper into any surprises or anomalies.
  • The report will include the total pageviews for the entire project (including redirects).

We're grateful to Mr.Z-man for his original Mr.Z-bot, and we wish his bot a happy robot retirement. Just as before, we hope the popular pages reports will aid you in understanding the reach of WikiProject Rapid transit, and what articles may be deserving of more attention. If you have any questions or concerns please contact us at m:User talk:Community Tech bot.

Warm regards, the Community Tech Team 17:16, 17 May 2017 (UTC)

166.107.163.254 (talk · contribs · WHOIS) seems pretty intent on saying 2016 was the original projected date for phase I, which I do not believe for a second, on account of the official timeline and local news articles' misinterpretations of the "accelerated" construction schedule as the original target schedule. Two people does not a consensus make, so I'm seeking others' comments.--Jasper Deng (talk) 06:53, 17 August 2017 (UTC)

When to add forthcoming transit systems, and extensions thereto, to Template:S-rail/lines

As a WP:TemplateEditor responding to a request to insert entries for a planned transit system extension, I declined the request on WP:NOTCRYSTAL grounds. However, I think the people participating in transite-related wikiprojects may have a sense of when they collectively think such info should be added to the template, e.g. when we have articles on the planned system and its stations, when they are under construction, when the system is open to the public, or whatever.

Some input at Template talk:S-rail/lines#New template for REM rapid transit project is requested.  — SMcCandlish ¢ >ʌⱷ҅ʌ<  06:53, 1 October 2017 (UTC)

Odd naming in Moscow Metro

As these new sections -- Moscow Metro station#Station names used on more than one line - same stations and Moscow Metro station#Station names used on more than one line - different stations -- show, each Moscow Metro station (or station name?) that serves more than one line has been given several separate articles, with different disambiguators for the different lines. I don't think I've seen anything like this in other systems. Is the long list of "different stations" really different stations, or just different parts of the same station? Would it be more sensible to have merged articles, at least on some? Comments? Dicklyon (talk) 21:37, 13 December 2017 (UTC)

User:Dicklyon claimed something regarding the first section that is not true. 92.231.161.207 (talk) 02:14, 14 December 2017 (UTC)
Right, what I said was true of the second section. In the first, each station has only one article. I stand corrected, if cryptically. Dicklyon (talk) 02:27, 14 December 2017 (UTC)
London Underground has several instances. The general rule is that if you can interchange from one line to the other without leaving the station, it gets a single article (Oxford Circus tube station has three lines). If you need to leave the station, each gets its own article (for example, at Edgware Road tube station (Circle, District and Hammersmith & City lines) you can interchange between three lines within the station, but you need to walk a short distance along the street to get to Edgware Road tube station (Bakerloo line). --Redrose64 🌹 (talk) 09:38, 14 December 2017 (UTC)
User:92.231.161.207 claimed something regarding a claim by User:Dicklyon which is not true. Dicklyon did not make any claim for one of the two sections individually, but a claim for both sections combined ([T]hese [...] sections [...] show). 213.39.184.10 (talk) 12:28, 14 December 2017 (UTC)

Possible COI and NPOV issues at Mecca Metro

I believe there are possible WP:COI and WP:NPOV issues at the article about the Mecca Metro. I've tagged the article and the user at issue just over a week ago without any comment since, and would appreciate other editors having a look. Please see the talk page. - papageno (talk) 02:15, 4 February 2018 (UTC)

Yes, it's ridiculous; worth asking for a block at WP:AN/I in my opinion. Dicklyon (talk) 02:44, 4 February 2018 (UTC)
Thanks, Dicklyon. It appears SounderBruce (talk) has gone ahead and reverted things back to before Monometro's edits. I'm not quite sure how to go about an AN/I, but user Monmetro—suggesting an association with the firm of the same name—does appear to have edited only the article about the firm (MonoMetro) and the Mecca Metro article. --papageno (talk) 03:45, 4 February 2018 (UTC)
Looks like a blatant COI and WP:GROUPNAME. The editor also hung their WP:COAT at Al Mashaaer Al Mugaddassah Metro line before being reverted. Certes (talk) 11:58, 4 February 2018 (UTC)
All right then, does someone have expertise in submitting an AN/I request? --papageno (talk) 04:27, 5 February 2018 (UTC)

This is a notice to let you know about Article alerts, a fully-automated subscription-based news delivery system designed to notify WikiProjects and Taskforces when articles are entering Articles for deletion, Requests for comment, Peer review and other workflows (full list). The reports are updated on a daily basis, and provide brief summaries of what happened, with relevant links to discussion or results when possible. A certain degree of customization is available; WikiProjects and Taskforces can choose which workflows to include, have individual reports generated for each workflow, have deletion discussion transcluded on the reports, and so on. An example of a customized report can be found here.

If you are already subscribed to Article Alerts, it is now easier to report bugs and request new features. We are also in the process of implementing a "news system", which would let projects know about ongoing discussions on a wikipedia-wide level, and other things of interest. The developers also note that some subscribing WikiProjects and Taskforces use the display=none parameter, but forget to give a link to their alert page. Your alert page should be located at "Wikipedia:PROJECT-OR-TASKFORCE-HOMEPAGE/Article alerts". Questions and feedback should be left at Wikipedia talk:Article alerts.

Message sent by User:Addbot to all active wiki projects per request, Comments on the message and bot are welcome here.

A new newsletter directory is out!

A new Newsletter directory has been created to replace the old, out-of-date one. If your WikiProject and its taskforces have newsletters (even inactive ones), or if you know of a missing newsletter (including from sister projects like WikiSpecies), please include it in the directory! The template can be a bit tricky, so if you need help, just post the newsletter on the template's talk page and someone will add it for you.

Request for information on WP1.0 web tool

Hello and greetings from the maintainers of the WP 1.0 Bot! As you may or may not know, we are currently involved in an overhaul of the bot, in order to make it more modern and maintainable. As part of this process, we will be rewriting the web tool that is part of the project. You might have noticed this tool if you click through the links on the project assessment summary tables.

We'd like to collect information on how the current tool is used by....you! How do you yourself and the other maintainers of your project use the web tool? Which of its features do you need? How frequently do you use these features? And what features is the tool missing that would be useful to you? We have collected all of these questions at this Google form where you can leave your response. Walkerma (talk) 04:24, 27 October 2019 (UTC)

Guanggu Suspended Monorail Line

As a new member of this WikiProject, I propose that the page Guanggu Suspended Monorail Line be created. The Chinese article is already well-built and can be easily translated to the English Wikipedia. Ideas will be posted on the draft and all positive contributions will be appreciated. This will be my first large rail transit project, and I will be looking forward to see this article being submitted for review and then created. 2003 LN6 (talk) 17:47, 21 January 2024 (UTC)
