Road stubs[edit]

@Grutness: I think you know your way around these issues. I'm wondering why New Zealand road stubs are listed under Category:Oceania road stubs, as I would have expected there to be a Category:New Zealand road stubs, just like there is an equivalent category for Australia. And the parent category for that should be Category:New Zealand transport stubs, with Category:New Zealand rail transport stubs then becoming a subcategory. Does this make sense? I believe there is a formal process for initiating stub categories, hence my call for an experienced hand. Schwede66 19:02, 26 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

We could also benefit from having Category:New Zealand law stubs, and particularly Category:New Zealand case law stubs, as the parent category for the latter is huge (over 500), and a good proportion of that is NZ material. Schwede66 19:11, 26 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]
I agree (re roads), though it would empty the Oceania category almost completely. It's only recently that NZ's got over the 50-stub mark necessary for a new category (someone's been making stubs for a lot of the smaller state highways recently) which is why it's not been suggested before. I'll propose it at the stub-sorting page. Given the number of stubs it should be a formality. I hadn't noticed the law ones - I'll take a look. (By the way, in stub terms, 500's not really that big - "huge and demanding attention" is anything over 800. And there are some categories, like Category:Main-belt-asteroid stubs that are enormous and pretty much unsplittable)) Grutness...wha? 23:11, 26 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]
