Colonial Viper

I'm cleaning up the Colonial Viper page and I need a bit of help. It's long and has lots of technical details but is short on sourcing. Any help would be appreciated. --Sharkface217 02:56, 3 January 2008 (UTC)

Centralized TV Episode Discussion

Over the past months, TV episodes have been redirected by (to name a couple) TTN, Eusebeus and others. No centralized discussion has taken place, so I'm asking everyone who has been involved in this issue to voice their opinions here in this centralized spot, be they pro or anti. Discussion is here [1]. Even if you have not, other opinions are needed because this issue is affecting all TV episodes in Wikipedia. --Maniwar (talk) 03:05, 21 January 2008 (UTC)

character images

Did anyone notice that the character images are being sent for deletion, due to bad fair-use rationales? 132.205.44.5 (talk) 01:27, 25 January 2008 (UTC)

Guidelines

WP:FICT has been revised

WP:FICT, the notability guideline for elements within a work of fiction (characters, places, elements, etc) has a new proposal/revision that is now live [2] Everyone is encouraged to leave feedback on the talk page. Ned Scott 22:12, 31 January 2008 (UTC)

Wikipedia:Notability (serial works)

There is a proposal to split WP:EPISODE into a more general notability guideline, Wikipedia:Notability (serial works), and make the rest of WP:EPISODE just a MOS guideline. Please join in at WT:EPISODE#Proposed split of EPISODE and/or Wikipedia talk:Notability (serial works). -- Ned Scott 22:12, 31 January 2008 (UTC)

2007 Hugo Award featured topic

An article from this project, Downloaded (Battlestar Galactica) (edit | talk | history | protect | delete | links | watch | logs | views), is part of a featured topic nomination for the 2007 Hugo Award for Best Dramatic Presentation, Short Horm. Feel free to leave comments. Will (talk) 01:13, 17 February 2008 (UTC)

And, as it's wholly relevant, Downloaded (Battlestar Galactica) (edit | talk | history | protect | delete | links | watch | logs | views) is a GA, the first BSG one, I think. Will (talk) 11:44, 18 February 2008 (UTC)

images

There are currently several BSG images listed on User:Matthew's talk page that are tagged by BetaCommandbot. Since Matthew is no longer active on Wikipedia, i thought I would notify the project, perhaps you guys can take care of them. --TheDJ (talkcontribs) 18:15, 2 January 2008 (UTC)

I've uploaded some replacement images so far only for the humanoid cylons. Hopefully these are not removed. Canez (talk) 17:24, 24 March 2008 (UTC)

Cylon characters

I've noticed that in the humanoid cylon articles, each is referred to differently. For instance Number Six is referred to as Number Six while Number Five is referred to as Aaron Doral. Since the articles are about each model of cylon should we be referring to them as their official model number (where applicable)? I say this because particularly in the case of Aaron Doral, he is only one copy of that particular model yet the article kinda assumes each copy is named Doral. It's possible that that may be the case but we haven't had any information to date which confirms or denies this and, like the other models, shouldn't we assume that various copies would have different names? Such as the case with Number Six. Simply for the sake of consistency across those particular articles. Canez (talk) 00:26, 25 March 2008 (UTC)

FYI: Challenge to Episode Guide Notability

Just as an FYI, Talk:Guess What's Coming to Dinner? has a tag up for notability. When I checked to see the rationale, they basically took the position that episode guides in general are inappropriate. So presumably if they can get this one deleted then they will attempt to delete more episodes. I'm not in this wikiproject, but I think this is relevant to the entire project (and presumably projects for other shows as well). Wellspring (talk) 13:06, 9 June 2008 (UTC)

I was toying around with an idea. Getting the List of BSG episodes up to GA quality, and then making the argument that each episode is a breakout article of that main article. Just a strategy that popped into my mind. -66.109.248.114 (talk) 03:31, 17 July 2008 (UTC).

WikiProject Media franchises

Dear WikiProject Battlestar Galactica participants...WikiProject Media franchises needs some help from other projects which are similar. Media franchises' scope deals primarily with the coordination of articles within the hundreds if not thousands of media franchises which exist. Sometimes a franchise might just need color coordination of the various templates used; it could mean creating an article for the franchise as a jump off point for the children of it; or the creation of a new templating system for media franchise articles. The project primarily focuses on multimedia franchises. It would be great if some of this project's participants would come over and help the project get back on solid footing. Also, if you know of similar projects which have not received this, let Lady Aleena (talk · contribs) know. Please come and take a look at the project and see if you wish to lend a hand. You can sign up here if you wish. Thank you. LA @ 05:01, 10 August 2008 (UTC)

Franchise naming convention discussion at WikiProject Media franchises

Dear WikiProject Battlestar Galactica participants...WikiProject Media franchises is currently discussing a naming convention for franchise articles. Since this may affect one or more articles in your project, we would like to get the opinions of all related projects before implimenting any sweeping changes. Please come and help us decide. Thanks! Re-direct move request at Talk:Sine Qua Non

Just an FYI. Currently the redirect is going to the Battlestar Galatica episode. AgneCheese/Wine 19:08, 14 September 2008 (UTC)

quick question

Does this WikiProject have an SOP dictating the miniseries to be an episode of the 2004 re-imagined TV series? — pd_THOR | =/\= | 01:21, 10 November 2008 (UTC)

Major spoiling of character development

I wanted to check a character but had not yet seen Season 3. Simply by navigating wikipedia, I could not avoid learning who the final five cylons are. That was quite a thing to disclose and finding out about this major plot twist it somewhat spoilt Season 3. It is usual that there is a spoiler alert. These should be added. Secondly, the characters do not need to be divided up into human and cylons in the navigation bar. That should be changed. --Lawe (talk) 06:15, 15 December 2008 (UTC)

It hasn't been "usual" to add spoiler alerts to WP articles for a long time now. That said, it should probably be rewritten to avoid disclosing this information unless the reader willfully looks for it. — SMcCandlish [talk] [cont] ‹(-¿-)› 10:14, 25 December 2008 (UTC)

Kendra Shaw & Archive

How can Shaw does not have her own article alone? And also, would not this talk page would seem neat if it had an archive ^^ unfortunately im noob and dunno how to do it :/--hnnvansier (talk) 04:31, 4 March 2009 (UTC)

This talk page has been archived, cheers! 76.66.193.90 (talk) 07:39, 4 March 2009 (UTC)

I have re-created a userbox for project members as a sub-page of the project itself, instead of in anyone's user space. The template was based on the original by Sith Penguin Lord. The new userbox template can be found at Wikipedia:WikiProject Battlestar Galactica/UBX. --BlueSquadronRaven 15:39, 9 April 2009 (UTC)

WP:NOT#PLOT

Apologies for the notice, but this is being posted to WikiProject's in the culture and art subcategories of Category:WikiProjects to counter problems of systemic bias. A previous idea to target all WikiProjects was felt too expansive. Thanks for your time, Hiding T 15:08, 27 April 2009 (UTC)
