Merge?[edit]

I have been wondering whether and how Wikipedia:WikiProject UK Parliament constituencies/Historic constituency names and Wikipedia:WikiProject UK Parliament constituencies/Historic constituencies might be merged, but I cant quite see how to fit into Historic constituencies detail now in Historic constituency names. Also I am thinking of names now as more of a review of articles about historic constituencies, enabling some sort of overview and comparison of different approaches to the subject. And I am finding it useful in making cross-references to and from articles about other entities (see for example Caithness) and I am thinking a slight change to the format might make it more useful. Wikipedia:WikiProject UK Parliament constituencies/Historic constituency names would merge into Wikipedia:WikiProject UK Parliament constituencies/Historic constituencies if articles like Aberdeenshire (UK Parliament constituency) were split into several separate articles. In its present form however Aberdeenshire (UK Parliament constituency) tells a story which is perhaps worth preserving. Perhaps the best place for this story (minus details such as lists of MPs) is in Aberdeenshire (traditional). Laurel Bush 11:05, 19 September 2005 (UTC).[reply]
