This sounds like a dumb idea; someone who doesn't check their talk page likely doesn't check their old throwaway email addresses either. And if you posit that they're using a non-throwaway address, there goes their anonymity. As for the 63%/83% thing, was a similar study done for passages of wikitext deleted as copyvios or improperly licensed? I'd guess the proportions would be about the same, so logically the confirmed email thing should apply to all wiki editing, not just uploads. Better to just go on deleting improperly or unclearly licensed stuff, as before. Phr (talk) 00:26, 10 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
