Obvious question: how do you prove the wikiname is the handle of a person of the female gender? Jackiespeel 17:01, 12 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Obvious answer:You can't.

Why?

[edit]

Other than occasionally getting referred to as he and some colorful comments from one banned editor who used to haunt the machismo page, I've noticed absolutely nothing unusual about my treatment at Wikipedia in 10,000-odd edits here. DurovaCharge! 03:37, 14 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

GOOD. You aren't supposed to notice it, there shouldn't be any. I'm pro the list existing but i don't like the idea of not being able to contribute to a conversation that takes my interest should I wish to take part. Am i being banned from contributing there? The article seems unclear on whether I am or not.--I'll bring the food 18:29, 17 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
There shouldn't be any, but there is. The list is designed to be open only to women since some women are not comfortable posting their thoughts here. There are women on the list who are not comfortable posting openly. If that's a problem for some people, then please understand -- wikichix runs on Wikia, not wikimedia, and it's not hurting you or anyone else. --ElaragirlTalk|Count 19:52, 18 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
